the PS2 doesn't play VCDs? seriously? thats weird, Sony even released a version of the PS ONE that played VCDs! came in a white box i think, though i only ever saw one once in s'pore.
The webpage doesn't say Adobe "prefer" PCs at all, that happens to be a word in the page URL, if the page was pcfish.html it wouldn't mean Adobe thought PCs were fishy now would it. Seems to me all this topic is is a huge troll.
indeed its a bit of a strange article, especially when it mentions MP3 and what will happen when everyone moves to another format...er... just keep using your MP3 player, its not magically going to dissappear;)
In my opinion, Apple's best move would've been in licensing themselves. It may have killed Apple ultimately, but the Macintosh technologies would have survived and improved dramatically as the PC clones have proved out over time.
doesn't sound like their best move to me if it ended up in the death of the company!
Today's software is written so poorly that super high-end hardware is needed to make up for lazy/poor programmers.
the problem today compared to back when all code had to be small, tight and efficient is that there is a much greater demand for programming. the actual number of good, top flight coders is always going to be small as it was back then but these days you have a lot more code that needs to be churned out so a lot of it gets done by journeymen programmers (and i include myself in that)
well its not "all pop garbage" - there is actually a lot of "diversity". mind u its what i listen to all the time so i suppose i have the chance to discover all...;)
i don't know about arabic but chinese works the same (and just as well - if not a little better) in X as it did in 9. input and display.

i can tell you never used Warp 3 much, i did. W95 copied a LOT off OS/2 Warp.

yeah but if you haven't got a laptop it makes reading the manual anywhere else apart from at your computer... tricky

you only had to wait an extra day!
another reason is to help Mac home users who use PCs at work and want to transfer files home using their iDisk.
well ok... every 2 months

no i think the reason might be they have to keep soyez ready for getting the people on the ISS off
Naa Apple have been using IBM made PowerPC chips for ages, G3s used in iMacs and iBooks nowadays are IBM ones i believe
i get the feeling you totally missed the entire point of the article
my book on palaentology has a hypothetical creature not unlike this new one which it named Proavis (or similar - not got the book with me!)
