I have the distinct feeling you've said something witty, but I think I'd have to google a lot of Cabots to know for sure.
You might be saying; "Lots of money has gone to String Theory, and it doesn't really have a Proof yet." So thanks, I think.
At some point, there is Authoritative Wild Ass Speculation, mine is merely Arm-Chair Scientist Wild Ass Speculation. In a Universe of possibility -- I think we stand on the same firm ground that exists and does not exist unless observed.;-)
My BIG difference with String Theory, has got to be that I see these fundamental particles, not as STRINGS, but infinite sized sheets that have a vortex in the middle. It's like space-time pulling itself inside-out. Space spews out of one "pole" and gets sucked back in the other. It is constantly flipping back and forth, but the BOUNDARY it encompasses, has no dimension of size -- so it oscillates "OUTSIDE" this Universe. So I borrow the term "sub-space" to talk about this internal interference.
From the outside, it MIGHT appear as a particle -- but it's a folded chunk of space/time -- and internal ECHO of the Big Bang -- which makes a hell of a lot of sense on why particles appear finite -- the ALL have the same common boundary -- our UNIVERSE outside, is likely the same as these particles sub-space on the "inside." And because these dimensions are only bound by AFFINITY and POSITION, which are only properties from the Interface of the fundamental particle (folded space-time field) then all particles in the Universe could very possibly be the SAME particle, and it could actually be the OUTSIDE of the Universe itself. So I'm talking about "inverse vacuums" and String Theory has worm-holes and wiggling strings. But other than that, there are a lot of similarities in function.
Anyway, I don't like the aesthetics of a "wiry and hair Universe." Our Universe is comprised of soft, fuzzy spinning pin-wheels going down the rabbit hole.
I'm only looking for ONE person to get what I'm saying -- because I realize that I'm out there on the edge, and people well versed in science are also afraid of looking like an idiot -- I am not however, because I've been right about more ideas than I care to count. Later, when I explain that I was in 6th grade trying to get someone to understand my idea of using fiber optics to do surgery in the body, or how right-angled inverse sound waves could muffle sound -- well, I was ignored then, and mentioning it now sounds like a person talking out of their ass. Laugh at the fool if you must - only, try to entertain another point of view you might not have come across.
"Universe creation resulting in Gamma Ray bursts is not testable." Sure it is -- you don't know how, nor the concepts, so you assume that it isn't. A UNIVERSE, is only a dimensional system where forces balance to create something that exists. There a Universes inside of ours -- but they don't interact directly. But we can manipulate forces that manipulate other forces -- and that's a long conversation.
"All particles in the Universe are shrinking and this will change physics." Well, that's what's going on with the Hubble Constant. There were very discrete changes in physics if you look at "A Timeline of the Big Bang." When the Universe was too hot to have light or electrons -- it also had different rules for physics. You can explain it by saying "it was too hot for atoms" or you an say the Universe did not yet support a state of matter. But you had periods of stability, where all this "stuff" that filled every point in this Universe, behaved one way, and then in an instant, everything behaves differently.
I have made a lot of predictions on why this is important, and what will happen as the Universe Ages. I'm sorry if my "vocabulary" seems to be stealing from String Theory. I've read a bit of that, but decided to stay away, because it was too dependent on gobbledy-gook words, and complicated math, that distracted me from JUST THINKING how things work. The problem is; if anyone spends 12 years breaking their brains on someone else's theories -- they might become pretty ossified as to what is and isn't possible.
I'd say for example, in my experience; Most Doctors, don't want to listen to their "stupid" patients -- but the GOOD ONES, know that everything they know could be wrong, and stick to the best way while searching for a better one.
>> My capitalizations, are to indicate "BOLD LETTERS" because I've gotten too used to blogs without any HTML formatting.
>> As String theory talks about "Branes" -- I just talk about a Top and Bottom group of 4 dimensions. The Universe is kind of binary -- like an Hourglass, and space/time is what powers it -- so as the sand flows DOWN in the hourglass, MORE SAND (space) fills up the lower chamber. Eventually, the sand is all used up, and its time to flip the hourglass -- it INVERTS, and all particles become "coherent" or at the same sub-space frequency.
I wrote a heck of a lot more than this, and paired it down -- a LOT. But, for most theories I'm proposing, I can construct simple pass-fail tests of them. I think I could BLOCK gravity, with the right setup with coherent light interfering with itself. And yeah, I think I've got a few tricks for getting to those sub-planck-length distances. The "final coherent state" of the Universe, has a lot to do with what I call "Coherent Matter" -- much as a laser is at the same frequency, you can create COLDER matter, not by removing all vibration (heat), but by "tuning" the matter to a coherent "dimensional frequency." Though, admittedly, current scientists ARE making things colder by damping them with Lasers -- however, I figured that out years before they did (probably they did as well -- it's TOUGH to make things actually work in the real world), but I know that there is another phase of matter, that has new properties. When I say "AFFINITY" I'm talking about matter that has the same sub-space frequency. You can teleport obje
I've always had a theory that the Extra Gamma ray bursts are the creation of Universes. This is a continuous processes.
About 30 years ago, I figured the "Hubble Constant" would be found to be increasing, because the Universe, would be attracted to these "outer Universes" through Gravity (but it doesn't work at all how it is presented in Physics) -- but ALSO, that Space/Time was growing itself, and this would change the laws of Physics over time. The extra gravity of galaxies, that APPEARS to be explained by Dark Matter, is really a bleed-through of gravity from these other Universes. It is non-localized and cannot be explained by counting particles, but the existence of so many particles, creates a zone where the Gravity is more likely to bleed through. Thus, more cumulative mass than the actual mass in the system.
There are cases where you can get a "shadow" a blank area of space, that has gravity, but no particles. It has to do with a "superposition" of other Galaxies with ours. They don't exist in the same space, but they would have an AFFINITY, for a position in space. Such loosely bound but massive forces of gravity, might be used to MOVE massive objects like stars. I've got a lot of VERY simple theories that are only difficult to understand because they are completely alien to anything I've heard. The Multiverse Theory of Quantum Mechanics where all states are possible -- is the REAL CLUE to how General Relativity is not a contradiction. We DO NOT have spontaneously spawned Multiverses, because they all RESOLVE to only one, that satisfies equal and opposite forces. Existence, is merely the convergence of all possible states with the ONLY ONE, that satisfies the conditions. Physics itself -- is NOT a law that controls ANYTHING, it's the byproduct. There is only ONE thing -- space/time, and it's interference with itself creates discrete and opposite 4 Dimensional ripples. This interference with each other and we see as the 4 dimensions we exist in -- but they are a "matrix of oscillations." The in-and out flow of Space/Time into this Universe is through discrete "holes" in the oscillating boundaries that we call particles and all the forces in physics can easily be explained by this one interaction.
So when there is a "big bang" for a created Universe or an "inverting one" -- we get a Gamma Ray burst. You can't LOCATE the new Universe, because distance and location OUTSIDE of a Universe is meaningless -- thus, they have no relative location with each other, but they do have AFFINITY, with influences on Light and Gravity, since Space/Time are a property "in-between" all Universes and what we call Particles the movement of this space/time is what creates the phenomena that we think of as light and gravity.
And Liberals are SMART enough to realize that trying to solve; Hunger, War, Poverty, Health Care, Prejudice and add anything else that isn't the military to this list -- by way of having a Bake Sale isn't going to work.
Conservatives, on the other hand, don't really believe ANYTHING can be solved and all the problems in the world are due to people who are not Conservative -- THUS, charities are great, because it allows them just to donate to the people in the neighborhood they LIKE.
>> Charity is really a "MY TRIBE" kind of solution -- and they can't scale very well, while on average MOST charities are lucky to have only 80% overhead. I know this, obviously, because I'm a Liberal and I don't just want to donate to appease my Ego.
Libertarians, like Charity solutions, because things are going well for them, they are not sick, plan to be able to not have problems, so screw everybody else.
>> The IQ of Liberals is skewed downward however, because I believe that many but not all of the two other groups that end up on some kind of Public Assistance, start identifying themselves as Liberals. So this is more of an example of "Social Pressure creating an evolution of IQ" -- if they've learned anything beyond "Well, now its my turn in the barrel."
As much as I'm a fan of someone taking down the "corporatists" this seems like a VERY valid argument. Compare this to Internet Companies and Monopoly Phone Networks, who charge us and their competition, for using lines that the taxpayer paid for, and dragging their heals on innovation because they are perfectly happy charging you $50 a month for 1 meg DSL downloads, $50 a month for a home phone and not telling you you don't need a home phone, and about $100 a month for that Cell phone, which is ONLY starting to add tethering because startups are offering 3G internet options (Clear.com comes to mind).
We have so may more problems with companies that have one pipe into the house, getting monopolies, and paying local governments to cover up their price fixing. I pay 5 times more for Natural Gas in my home coming from a choice of 7 different private companies, who all have various strange fees and taxes and amazingly, have just about the same 5X cost as it used to be when the inefficient STATE was selling me natural gas.
Do we ask Adobe if they are Price Fixing their Designer Suites to $1600? No. They are the only one's selling Adobe Software.
If the Manufacturers are fixing prices on cheap electronic components because they don't want to go bankrupt -- let's not worry about it if it's in a foreign nation. PRICE FIXING, should concentrate on LOCAL business, and PRICE DUMPING should be our only worry from foreign manufacturers. If Toyota want's to charge $100,000 for a car -- then maybe we can get someone to build them in the US again.
Did anyone notice that Toyota closed a plant in California to move back to Japan, or that Whirlpool is shuttering a plant with 15,000 jobs to move to Mexico? If they don't raise their prices -- we should be charging a Tariff. Seriously folks, we are in huge danger of losing our Middle Class in this country because nothing is putting money in the pockets for people who WORK at making things. This is the opposite of what we should be concerned with. You don't NEED the new flat-panel TV, so why not make it more expensive so that a local competitor could rise up and sell you one cheaper?
Price-fixing, might be an issue when a 20 cent CD becomes a $14 Album.
But when you've got a $20 DVD player, that costs less than just buying the equivalent screws in a bag from Home Depot -- is this really a problem? Without SOME profit, these companies can dry up with the cut-throat market. Maybe PRICE FIXING, is going on, but when the take-home is less than 10% -- I think the Government should make a pass on it.
We have more of a problem in this nation of DUMPING, of things from other countries being too cheap, so that we can't afford to build anything. Slap a tariff on the cheap electronics until the US is competitive.
Price-fixing should be looked at more in terms of Monopoly Power and Jobs. All these electronics companies can go broke, and lowering the price on these components wouldn't mean that the market would buy any more DVD players anyway, and it wouldn't mean any more jobs in our country.
>> I think the ONLY reason this is an issue, is it's an easy target for regulators who don't want to go after anyone with a powerful Lobby. The only take-home lesson to manufacturers will be to spend more on lobbyists than engineers.
... if they want people to take their science seriously, they've got to quit getting misquoted in Oil Company backed blogs and media. I mean, that stupid nonsense about their article on the world freezing over from that magazine they had nothing to do with, is a great example of why this controversy still exists. Even when people point out that it's a bogus and that science can always change -- it gets repeated over and over again. What's up with that, Climatologists? Your opinions are only like a few thousand, and there are many more non-climatologists getting quoted on this controversy -- you can't even beat out a Russian Economic Think tank that gets money from US oil concerns.
Heck, the LOL-Cat has more press savvy than you guys.
Instead of 100% of you Climate Scientists lying for that $10,000 grant, and your Grad Students being in on this huge global conspiracy -- you should go out and earn 10 times more with your math skills on Day Trading, get a lot of money, and learn how to rent-to-own press outlets. Maybe some of your grant money would be better spent on advertisements on CNN rather than all this blinking electronic equipment.
The concept of powerful Peace-Mongers and Environmentalists is a fiction. Most of this regulation and "solutions" are lobbied for by big businesses. The Corn-as-fuel came from Monsanto and ADM. I haven't heard any Environmentalists or alternative energy advocates pushing for it -- but it's not really a 1-person movement with one defined "Green Lord."
I don't think you could find a "Chief Hippy."
Here is an article that kind of points out the Problem; to get Real headway on Cap-and-Trade, the farm lobbies had to be bought out with favors (so they'd keep their lobbyists at bay I suppose). http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/Pelosi-buys-off-agri-business-to-advance-climate-bill-7881538-49108077.html >> Lot's of screaming about this corruption -- but what REALLY could the Dems do? The reality is, Big Business runs government with money. And their Dollar invested in a politician returns a thousand dollars more for their own profits. We won't get RATIONAL decisions until we decide to fund elections or at least get better photos of these politicians when they are hitting on office staff.
To get Corn Syrup INTO soda, Monsanto got a subsidy, and to get this crap OUT of soda - they will get even MORE money.
So if you don't want corn used in fuel and would rather use pond scum -- then we will probably need a tax on the sun, which would of course, go to pay the government the "sun royalty fees" that Monsanto demands. It may cost more to NOT use inefficient corn.
And if you ever find this darn "Green Lord" -- please let me know where I can call him so that I and other people who care about breathing and nature, can become his evil minions and make millions on Carbon Credits. -- But seriously, what is MOST annoying, is to have these debates swing on "Carbon Credits or Cap-AND-Trade have X and Y corruption." Well, right now we are mired in A through Z corruption and nobody is saying we need to abandon the entire capitalist system and Democracy -- OK, nobody who isn't protesting Obama's birth certificate is saying that. There are companies that will position themselves to make huge bucks when things change - but that's what savvy companies ALWAYS do. The status quo is already poisoning the planet and I don't see how it could be much more corrupt. If Al Gore becomes a billionaire -- well, there are already a few Trillionaires who are probably calling the Fed on speed dial right now; "OK, yeah, just print me up another batch of those notes--thanks, my valet will be by to pick it up... yeah, sure. Thanks Ben, same to you,... say hello to the missus for me, and I'll make sure you get that 0 interest loan on the house,.. no problems.... bye now."
How do I say this WITHOUT looking like and Apple fan boy?
The "marketing" of Apple has only been in the last few years, anything but cringe-worthy, and I think "apple fans" would agree.
Apple didn't TELL me that they allow me to be creative. I've been creative all my life. I started with 'attempting' to assemble on of the first computers that came from Tandy/Radio-shack, and with a few thousand wires, I got an LED to light up. Never got the series of them to do anything meaningful.
I used an AMIGA for video editing in the early days -- we were a beta test site.
I used DOS -- BEFORE I used a Mac. And then I had to endure lectures on how a "GUI will never give you the power and control of a command-line." I think everybody who told me that has forgotten saying it.
>> Now, Apple is the EVIL FASCIST DICTATOR, and because my Mac is shiny, and they put a lot of adds showing creative people like myself getting laid -- I'm all into it. I'll assume you are an intelligent person without reading much into your psychoanalysis of a stereo-type based upon a few people who need extra medication on some blog. So can you believe me when "I tell you why I like my Macintosh computers?" I even have 3 or 4 PCS I've built from scratch...
The CUSTOMER of the Apple computer is the person who BOUGHT THE MAC. Now, you might think as you sit in front of your Windows PC (or whatever), that this is obviously true of all computers. We have Windows XP at the office. Why? Cost savings. We save so much paying $50 a head a month for Exchange, and then bundling Microsoft products for huge costs savings, even while we pay for machines like my MacBook Pro, regardless of whether it gets the software. The CUSTOMER, of the Windows Machine, is our computer support and security -- NOT anyone using them.
I mean, if it were about money, you'd hire a few LINUX geeks, set up an email system and network for MOSTLY consulting fees, and never restart the box. Even on a Mac Server, you can have unlimited email, calendars and users for a few grand without monthly fees.
But hey, who would get the job of constantly patching and locking things down? My service request allows someone to install an application because there is no security once you "TRY" an app and it goes rogue. Windows 7 MIGHT make things better -- but it MIGHT be too good.
>> Look at the cell phone market; most of the Smart Phones the ACTUAL customer is the Cell Phone Provider. With the Google Android and the FREE phones that they are supporting, the CUSTOMER is the people buying add space and your information on the phone in your hand.
>> When Steve Jobs negotiated with AT&T -- he was fighting for the CUSTOMER of his phone to be able to use the actual features on the phone. He lost some battles with things like Tethering. He can't allow the jail-breaking because of contracts with AT&T. Now, of course, a cynical person may say that's what Jobs wants us to think. That anti-DRM message about music was garbage. Until, of course, we got unlocked music on iTunes.
This isn't just for some "ideal" since we all distrust that. Jobs knows his customer; we want to USE all those features on that phone. I still have a RAZR and I've yet to use anything more advanced than the camera and a few text messages. I can program and build a video kiosk -- but I'll be damned if I'm going to bother learning the in's and outs of some gadget that was designed by a toaster repair man.
The Google Phone will eventually get all sorts of viruses, and their market will splinter, as they move to support the next cool device to add on to the Open Source phone.
>> Anyway -- I much prefer the new Apple that doesn't say much until they ship a product that actually works -- vs. the endless vaporware and hype of "me too" Microsoft, as they TELL YOU how dang smart and creative you are on their ads just for using their product. I don't think that convinces a smart guy like you any more than it does me.
Meanwhile,... As the FBI closes in on the Professor, and our government chides us that "lose lips sink ships"...
GM is setting up weapons production plants and auto manufacturing in China. Also on the menu is enhanced Nuclear Weapons technology.
Maybe one day, they will be arresting some poor schmuck at GM for mentioning important state secrets to a visiting American student.
That's why we have to spend so much on the defense of our nation -- so that we can deter dangerous rivals like,..... Iran -- a least that's what spokesmodels at GM's News Stations say when not telling us about the problems with entitlement programs and the huge expenses involved in Health Care.
The good news is that nobody is ever going to invade America -- they will just set up Toll Roads and we will never know where that little coin ends up.
It seems to me that all we need to do, is charge a penny for every email sent and it is held in "escrow" at the ISP. If the receiver getting the email, reads the message (and you can automate what a user action constitutes "accepted" mail). Then the penny is returned.
So for most people, you'd have maybe $5 for all your emails that you might send in a year. And likely, if you're only NOT going to get back a receipt for maybe 50 cents in a year.
For a Spammer, sending out a thousand emails in the hopes that they get one sucker, costs them $10 upfront money.
So, is it worth it just to pony up a tiny bit of money and end this problem? We don't need tricks, hacks or technology. All emails go through an official router, and only people with credit in the account get through. Of course, you can still have "anonymous" email -- just so long as someone pays for it, either through anonymous donations or ads. But, so that we don't go insane with avoiding our own email, because it's a chore that wastes so much time -- I would definitely spend a penny an email.
All the illegitimate groups that want to SPAM you, can go around the routers -- it's a free market. But your email will be set to ONLY receive from the verified routers with the escrow account. For every SPAM i receive, I will get a penny. It should be more for the pain and suffering, but at least I'll know the SOBs had to waste some money.
OK -- fine. We treat corporations as if they were PEOPLE.
That means KBR, Haliburton, GE, and a dozen other defense contractors need to be serving 5 to 20 in a super max prison.
I'm sure that would also mean that the 65% of the Fortune 500 companies who broke a federal law or two, would also be serving time in a Federal Prison.
>> Oh wait, no, they get the PRIVILEGES and RIGHTS without getting the criminal responsibilities.
I'm also waiting for more court rulings that I can't have free speech because I work for some company that might be "embarrassed" or have profits affected. I think the time will soon come that we all become a Corporation like we get a drivers license. So I'm not robbing a Quicky-mart -- I just had a policy that is going to need some review....
I'd heard a coworker describe an Algae plant his dad was developing round Texas. I uses waste water from some factory, and warm water off of a nuclear plant.
To conserve space and optimize for algae, it's all in clear vertical tubes -- so light gets to the top layer where the algae grows.
The water doesn't get used up because it's a closed system -- but it's waste water anyway.
Air bubbles up into it.
I would figure it would be pretty carbon neutral, except that you would avoid NEW carbon being introduced from burning fossil fuels. Any ORGANIC process is merely going to be recycling existing carbon for the most part.
And scientists "poo-pooing" organic energy is kind of an ironic statement -- I'm sure I'm not the first to notice.
PsyStar is piggy-backing on Apples research and development. They subsidize a lot of apps and the OS itself with the computer sale.
Apple tried making nice with clones in the past and they reduced their margins, without really expanding the market.
Now, I think it should be OK for a company to clone a platform or reverse engineer -- but PsyStar has been going well beyond that and selling Apple packages.
I have to admit -- I'm tempted for a Cheaper Mac that has real expandability -- but PsyStar was an antagonistic parasite and they did it the wrong way. My sentiment on that has not much at all to do with liking or disliking Apple. The other thing is that they cannot guarantee compatibility with the next OS update.
And for balance -- I don't have a problem with companies selling unlocked iPhones. However, they have to buy them at the unsubsidized cost, because it's kind of stealing because you are borrowing the money upfront.
You make a compelling argument Mr. Capitalism, I'd just like to say;
Pat Boone Grateful Dead (I think their following enjoys the flashbacks, and so the love of their music is more of a trigger -- if you never got stoned to the Grateful Dead, then you probably don't get the attraction to this elevator music). Jimmy Buffet (yes, I said it. God save us all from the popularity of Margarittaville and listening to another aging drunk doing his white man's overbite to this moldy oldy).
>> And even more, economic go-to people who bring in the bucks: Dane Cook Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Gallagher, Carrot Top
>> I think I'm going to try out this heuristic algorithm that the Academics dream up. They aren't grading it on correct use of English, after all.
HS was designed as a huge boondoggle by the Bush administration. A place to stuff cronies to give them jobs, and then absorb many other agencies to spend a lot of money and not get things done. Can anyone point to real Homeland Security success -- what exactly do the DO besides come up with more ways to insert their asses into our lives?
If they think THEY should protect the Internet -- then I recommend everyone cache IP addresses for places they like to visit, because I can bet an INCIDENT that needs fixing is only a few Oops away.
How many times do we fall for this crap? There is no enemy. Just a bunch of businesses creating astro-turf movements and the Media freaking out over the phobia of the week so that they can keep eyeballs glued to the TV.
... you know how frustrating it is, to have the answers. To know that Neanderthals got busy but nobody would listen?
All those theories about superior intelligence -- how good is that when Brother Bicep can lift a Car and your superior intelligence is being able to count to 12 -- two more digits than your fingers. It's not like you invented a Kolishnikoff or fire yet.
>> But seriously, I can tell you now EXACTLY why the weaker ancestors of us replaced the Neanderthal (yes, they had sex, but the Neanderthal "trait" was selected out over time). Our species took over about two major ice ages ago. If you look how relatively weak we are pound for pound with other great apes it seems obvious; Humans have a lower metabolism so that we don't starve to death on low calorie diets. We can eat anything and survive where most any mammal our size can not.
It wasn't speech, or brains, or nice hair -- it was BECAUSE we were weaker and could starve well. A Neanderthal with the strength of a Gorilla probably ate 4 times as much as our ancestors.
I know I can't comment too well on this topic, as I'm a male white guy. I'm not in any sub-group that is getting denied attention that I can think of -- other than getting beat up once for being a Nerd in third grade. Nothing but totally ignored is my only peril.
However, I do think that if I were in a group that I thought was discriminated against, I might take the comment of a few people to represent some all of that larger group. I'd be a little more skittish -- not thinking that "hey, that's just some jerk" -- I'd identify that person as an ambassador of ill will.
It only takes one snarky comment to ruin the reputation of the group.
I think that people here are pretty intelligent and accepting -- but then, I'm probably part of that larger group.
I do see racism as a problem -- but not accepting that people CAN empathize and see things from your perspective, is also a stereotype. I do find some Feminists funny and I'm not at all bothered by the group in general -- just when someone says that all males are the same -- I get no credit for having taken your side against the real misogynists. I'll try not to conclude that all Feminists feel the same way, however.
I do notice that if you say; "I'm a feminist" that there are a lot of guys and girls who get riled up. The TERM itself has been demagogued by people who would like to cancel the Woman's Suffrage movement. As a guy who does not take it the wrong way, and loves Ellen Degenerous, I would have to admit that it's a loaded term -- for no fault of the movement or the need to stand up for ladies. Just recognize that if you lead with that LABEL -- that it has baggage that too many people just react to without giving it a lot of thought.
I work in a place with a lot of women at every level. If someone gets the label "B!tch" it's usually just because they are nasty to be around. I suppose it all depends on if someone is actually putting you down or not. It might be that you need to lower your guard a bit and look for allies rather than opponents -- if they aren't there, it might be time to find a new place to be.
A Datacenter is the backbone of a Cloud. Cloud Computing is 100% reliable -- until of course, when it fails, and then Marketing/Tech Support will tell you this was a datacenter problem and ask you if you saved a backup.
Do tumors REALLY reproduce exponentially, or do the "message" other sells to become part of the tumor? Isn't the heart of a cancer tumor dead cells?
I've got my own theory that Cancer and Viruses in most cases are broken messaging systems in the body. A genetic message is sent and something like a Telomere gets snipped and eventually, the message is not reproduced and copied. Cancer and Viruses cannot do anything on their own -- they use the bodies on mechanisms against it.
So stem cells are not going to become exponential tumors unless a genetic message co-ops their formation -- just as we see that babies do not become massive lumps of tumors.
But excuse my ignorance -- I was just always under the impression that the idea of Immortal eternally growing cells was as inaccurate a description of tumors as the "Big Bang" inaccurately describes the inflation of space when the Universe came into being.
"Maybe if the state were to partner with MS and not view it as their own personal ATM, they could close a bit of their defecit."
That's new, a "free magical market" advocate who is promoting reverse socialism.
How about Microsoft "partner" with the government and pay taxes on revenue earned by the activities in the state? They might as well get a post office box in Bermuda -- I've heard that trick works for Haliburton.
Obviously, I don't pay taxes either, because my wages are increased to cover my income tax....... obviously, you desperately need a class in basic economics of Markets -- it's a common affliction so don't feel bad.
McDonalds charges about $5 for a meal, because they've found that is what the market will pay. Any more, and the sit down restaurants will get a windfall or people will brown bag it.
If they pay less for a worker or a burger patty, what will they charge? $5, until they have to increase, but then, likely, so will the competition in a normal inflation of costs.
If taxes go up on McDonalds -- that comes out of profits, not out of what the market costs. We've been reducing taxes on corporations with the PROMISE that it will mean more people hired, more revenues and such -- and that's the same free market drivel that we get on everything. McDonalds and most any corporation, does not have EXTRA employees they don't need -- that money that doesn't go to tax goes to bonuses and executive compensation and MAYBE in a roundabout way to stock holders if someone declares a dividend.
Last time I heard the phrase "get over it" it was when someone was explaining how Bush was our commander in chief on their bumper sticker. But MOST corps don't pay taxes, because they have economically challenged people voting for stooges who sell everybody this fantasy that not taxing a corporation means we are going to get cheaper junk at WalMart. In some cases, that is slightly true, but the Taxpayer loses out more by corporations NOT paying taxes because we borrow that money at interest from China. Your discount on the Happy Meal is going to be an annoyance compared to the inflation created by Tax Free systems that end up reducing wages -- which is a longer discussion.
Not if you consider the concentration of fat cats, robber barons and people in power with something to hide; Register a corporation with the least responsibility; Maryland or Delaware. Mobbed up? Chicago Illinois and perhaps Pennsylvania. Campaign donation? Washington. Credit Card barons and Banksters? New Hampshire. Entrepreneurial crooks, drugs and ex Presidente's? Florida. California, might just be so large that it has a mix of everything.
Not sure about Montana and Connecticut, might be just the independence and paranoia of Montana and maybe I missed some Banskters.
>> Just my own two cents. I wonder why ENRON got in trouble -- that recording of them ripping off old ladies and laughing about it, was probably illegal -- they have RIGHTS you know!
It's like the Home Schooling --except without the School.
Kids learn a lot as they pick up Skilz dodging cars and drug scouts. The streets are a harsh educator, and in this school, there is only pass or fail. The resources and costs for Street Schooling are negligible, all it requires is the Tough Love and being dedicated to the total lack of attention and oversight that this method demands.
In a Universe of possibility -- I think we stand on the same firm ground that exists and does not exist unless observed. ;-)
Stupid scientists!
What "Green Lords?"
Here is an article that kind of points out the Problem; to get Real headway on Cap-and-Trade, the farm lobbies had to be bought out with favors (so they'd keep their lobbyists at bay I suppose).
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columns/Pelosi-buys-off-agri-business-to-advance-climate-bill-7881538-49108077.html
>> Lot's of screaming about this corruption -- but what REALLY could the Dems do?
If Al Gore becomes a billionaire -- well, there are already a few Trillionaires who are probably calling the Fed on speed dial right now; "OK, yeah, just print me up another batch of those notes--thanks, my valet will be by to pick it up ...
I've got over 300 applicatio
Meanwhile,... ...
As the FBI closes in on the Professor, and our government chides us that "lose lips sink ships"
GM is setting up weapons production plants and auto manufacturing in China. Also on the menu is enhanced Nuclear Weapons technology.
Maybe one day, they will be arresting some poor schmuck at GM for mentioning important state secrets to a visiting American student.
That's why we have to spend so much on the defense of our nation -- so that we can deter dangerous rivals like,.. ...
You make a compelling argument Mr. Capitalism,
I'd just like to say;

Grateful Dead (I think their following enjoys the flashbacks, and so the love of their music is more of a trigger -- if you never got stoned to the Grateful Dead, then you probably don't get the attraction to this elevator music).
Jimmy Buffet (yes, I said it. God save us all from the popularity of Margarittaville and listening to another aging drunk doing his white man's overbite to this moldy oldy).

It might be that you need to lower your guard a bit and look for allies rather than opponents -- if they aren't there, it might be time to find a new place to be.
... not just another air brushed and plastic lady on PB.
Just an attractive woman being what she naturally is.

Obviously, I don't pay taxes either, because my wages are increased to cover my income tax.... ... obviously, you desperately need a class in basic economics of Markets -- it's a common affliction so don't feel bad.
Not if you consider the concentration of fat cats, robber barons and people in power with something to hide;
