Disclaimer: I switched to textmate about 4 months ago and am an absolutely avid fan, more so than even the most rabbid of mac fanboys (and I own a macbook, so I know this species too).
The snippets, IMHO, are the best thing ever. Honestly, my productivity has shot through the roof because creating simple things like for loops takes about 8-12 key hits to get all the infrastructure done, and with all the proper brackets and semicolons all perfectly placed and formatted. I shit you not when I say that this has eliminated 90% of my debug problems.
plus you can essentially make anything a snippet, from simply putting out your details (say an entire address formatted) and the like. Totally understands and formats as per a given document type.
The book reviewed here is pretty sweet too, and I learned a few things that I wasn't aware existed. Its worth buying as well simply to use as a good reference material.
I defnitely recommend trying this as shareware for at least a few weeks.
I love safari and gladly use it over any other browser. However, since 10.4.5+, I have noticed that (as a whole) there appears to be an inability of OS X to free RAM up as efficiently as it used to. Programs like Safari, after many hours of usage, will remain as a HUGE RAM/virtual memory sink. I constantly quit Safari to try and alleviate/fix this.
But what seems to happen is that the process "kernal task" keeps eating up more and more ram even after Safari is shut down. After a couple days of usage, I feel the need for a restart just to flush out this annoyance.
Sure, in the grand scheme of things, It's only a minor annoyance, but it is definitely noticeable and something I hope is dealt with when 10.5 comes out.

Not completely off topic, but this is totally legit, if these 2 claim priveleges under the US constitution as US citizens.
Very few people realize the difference between State Citizenship (commonly referred to as being a US national) and US citizenship.
I'll cut to the chase, but the main difference is that a US national has rights guaranteed and protected by the constitution, while a US citizen has priveleges granted to them by the federal government. Like every privelege, it can be revoked at any time.
The funny thing is, I remember a SNL skit by christopher walkin where he made about having dual citizenship, US and florida. At the time I couldn't stop laughing...

in democracy, everything can be voted on... so your rights are there only at the desire of the majority.
in a republic, your property can't be even brought up to a vote.
example
democracy. 100 people vote to take the land of 10 wealthy people, to spread it around for the utility of all.
republic. 100 people want to vote to take the land of 10 wealthy people, but can't, because it's not in their juristidiction.
Summary, in democracy, all resources and property are everyones and thus under the juristidiction to vote on. In a republic, it's not.
