openbsd is one of the easiest distros to install. except you cant "click on pictures". If you know how to read, and to code/run *nix you do, Obsd install would be cakework...
I agree, I worked as a contractor for the AF and it was a great environment. The other route you can take is temp agencies. There are a few around here that will get prospects their interm clearnace so they are available for the jobs. you can even consider going into the reserves... I lucked out, my clearance has treated me better than a degree anyday. These days, you have a clearance, know Unix, you are good to go...
Yep, it costs 60k for a TS investigation. Your information that you provide is confidential, you will likely fill out an epsq questionaiire.
Look at it and read more here.
Do whatever it takes to get yourself at least an interm secret us clearance. Join
the Reserves, get a job with a temp agency that will sponsor you, whatever.
There is a demand for govt contractors, but you need an existing clearance. go
to jobsniper.com and search for secret clearance, you will be amazed. Also, start
applying for GS jobs, the benifits are great, and you get retirement after 20
years, not to mention that it literally takes and act of Congress
to fire a GS. check this link
for federal jobs.
what fun, just set it to your homepage, then have it restart explorer automatically once you send in the error report. Hours of fun for the bored slashdotters....
Kites have become the sport of choice lately, not only with photography, but with wakeboarders, surfers and skiers. Take a look at the popularity of kitesurfing on water and snow. Kites have evolved a long way in 20 years, from paragliders, to leading edge inflatables that relaunch when you drop them in the water.I have heard that guys are getting 50m high and 30sec air on skis now in the alps, and here in hawaii, kitsurfing in the winter surf is pretty nuts. Guys around here have been flying kites over the waves to take photos for at least 5 years, although rarely.
The project is her in Hawaii now, and is providing hundreds of IT jobs with great pay, 5+ year contracts, and some pretty great opportunities. I am not complaining.
