And if you did not know why you have/usr! Its thear to seperate system files from program/apps files so that you can offload/usr to a server and still boot and config !!!
I rather think they are useing linux to get a quicker time to market! With linux you have all os parts you need (premtiv multitasking, memory protection, etc..).
If they would go java only they would have to implement theas things on thear own witch takes money and time.
Well one posetiv thing is that the AMD CEO has been quoted of wanting to keep avrage sales price at 100 - 150 USD.
Could mean cheep Optrions! (in the 100 and not 1000 of usd)

Well this is do to the fact with the 8-10 new members EU will be some 23 Conutries. When EU hits that size it will take 6 months * 23 months before the presidency returns again witch is 11.5 years!
