After I started to get pain in my wrists I went to a doctor, got some pain relief gel, Ibugel forte 10%, and changed to a MS natural keyboard.
I've now stopped using the gel and don't find my wists aching.
I must admit that my typing took a while to recover, but in general I'm very happy to have made the change, though my friends now find it awkard to use my computer;-)
Just my experience, and hopefully let people know that if your wrists hurt, there is stuff you can do about it. For more information I contacted the Health & Safety Commision and got thier leaflets to try asnd find out what can be done about condition.
I've only been using Linux for a few month now, and it is an area I'm unsure about, how does package management relate to software you compiled yourself?
I'm learning debian, but this is an area that it would nice to see answered
Not that I would ever want to defend AOL in anyway, but I belive that all ISPs have a mail size limit, over here in NTL land our mail boxes are 10M, and of course you have to be careful about how big you can really recieve.
I used to work at a computer shop where it was standard practice to include the CAB files on the hard drive and point the Registry at the folder containing them. This did take up some hard drive space, but was very convinant for the customers. Is this a bad thing too?
You are obviously not unemployed with a very limited income. As a computer enthusiast with very limited money I pick up bits and pieces when possible, just the other day I got a 10G hard drive for my old 166, and because it's Linux, the kernel deals with it:-)
There is also the market for recylced computers, plently of people pick up computers which range from 486s all the way to the dizzy hights of 166s.
Do you want these people to have to use Win95? That's what they get installed on them, and it would be good to offer a Linux alternative.
As a side note, recycle computer places can be great for picking up pieces of hardware which shops can't supply, old ISA network card, different types of memory ect
I saw on Friday that my job centre had up graded thier computer system. It was now running some form of Work Station. I couldn't be 100% sure it was running NT4 or Windows2000, but I think it was NT4.
The application(s) they were running were command line based DOS looking things.
Waste of Money? Could be. I think that they may have been running a Win 3.11 thing before, but I'm open to surguestion.

Out of interest, how do you browse with vi?
I have used vi a bit and am familiar with the different modes.
Cheers
Does any one know if Legend of the Rangers made it to TV in the UK?
Cheers
I hate to say this, but you didn't say why it was different to Crusade.
Much as I loved B5, Crusade just wasn't up it (what ever it is)
CSS is good for reducing download time as you can remove the depriciated elements from the html, that includes the font tag.
CSS is also great for that ideal situation where content and form are seperated.
For more good information on using CSS see the following:-

Fraid I couldn't see the screen fully from where I was sitting.
I think the sheer amount of choice available in Linux would make make it hard to be sure without sitting down at the computer.
But will it mean that Star Office 5.2 on my 166 with 128M RAM will actually run at a decent speed?
