You need to start listening to some better artists. Good bands don't put out albums with only 2 or 3 good songs on them.
And yes, that means those 2 or 3 songs you like probably aren't very good either. What it really means is the person likes 2 or 3 songs and that they are good to him/her. Nothing else, nothing more. Just because you like an artist it doesn't mean you'll love all the songs, regardless of 'quality'. For me, this is true, regardless of the artist.. Sure, it's happened that I've liked 12/13 tracks, or even all of them, but most of the time, while I like most of them, I'll end up listening to a few of them all the time...
That being said, I agree with the people that want a physical disc with artwork, lyrics and whatnot. A file on my computer is not something I'm as inclined to pay for, esp. if I'm not allowed to make backups of it, move it, use it on another player, etc.
I'll gladly tell you that, yes, I copy music. I share it on filesharing networks as well, and every time someone downloads something other than the usual mainstream, massproduced stuff (I like what I like, regardless of if it's mainstream, rare or from whatever genre. No politics, no pretense, just "Do I like this?"), I'm happy, since then that artist gets some exposure..
There will always be people who never buy anything, regardless of what they think of the music (or whatever else), and there will probably always be people like me, who copy, share AND buy, because yes, I also buy. I don't claim that it in any ways justifies copying, but I don't have any problems sleeping soundly, because frankly, I do pay my dues. If everything moves to downloadable formats with no physical medium and all those rules.. Then I probably stop buying. Period.
I said there will probably always be people like me, simply because, well, it's a lot about attitude. A lot of kids these days just want everything for free and don't really care about the effects it has, or will have..
Like it? Have the cash? At least consider buying it. Or something else you like. Most people can't afford everything, but something goes a long way.
What I don't really understand is why any regular Joe should ever need an accountant och tax software to begin with.. I mean, sure, once you start hitting the stock market, and/or buying/selling stuff for profit, have a company of your own, sure, but before that?
I realize it's very different over there compare to here (Sweden), but for the last couple of years I've tried new ways of confirming my taxes. I get a form, read through it and compare it to the controlstatements I've gotten from whatever institution that gives me money that I'm supposed to pay tax on, then I follow one of the procedures available to confirm. As of now I can sign the form and leave it in a local drop-box, send a text message with my id and the code I get with the form, do the same online using the key file I have for my banking and the specified code I got with the form or even call (I think, never did try that..) and confirm it.
As long as I don't need to change anything it's that simple. If I do need to change anything, I do and then drop the form down the chute like I used to do before.
>My Sony Erickson K750i has this built in to it. >Uses the joystick thingy on it to control the pointer over bluetooth. >Why is it news that you have to use hacks on one phone to do something that is native on others ?
Because this isn't about using the joystick to control the pointer through bluetooth, but the camera. Quite a difference..
Interesting. The card I got issued most recently had a smart chip on it. It doesn't work yet but so far as I hear it's supposed to replace the magnetic strip, at least locally (In my case that means Sweden), and possibly in a few other countries. I haven't actually looked into this yet but I've seen the readers in a few stores being replaced with ones that take both the old style cards as well as the chip-sporting ones.
Must be Doctor Gore.. I actually bought that on dvd without having seen it (standard practice for me a lot of the time. That time I regretted it.. ZZZZzzzzzZZZZzz is my comment.. And the boom shows at the end damnit!
I went to Poland a couple of times in the late 80s and what the arcades sported there were not quite as bad as this one.. I remember playing several classic western games such as Gyrus, Kung Fu Master and such..
I also got the chance to play an old game system for home use which was way outdated. Remember the old one with 10 or so games? This must have been some kind of clone of that system and it ran on batteries. It had a light gun with which you shot at big white squares that bounces around the screen.. This must have been in 1986-1987...
Actually.. I've only been to the US once but maybe it's worse in big cities? When I went to Florida I stayed in this small town named Safety Harbor and everyone was way friendly. I was surprised by the level of service I got even at the little motel where I stayed and in any store where I went. I had some people fooled for a while regarding where I was from. They all kind of thought I was from some other place in the US and were surprised when I mentioned I was from Sweden but this didn't change the way they treated me. One cab driver took the time to inform me of bad places where I should't go. But, as I said, it seems to change once you get to certain places. Orlando was a lot less friendly in general than the little places.. Well, except for the comic book store I went to but hey, we had common interests and common tastes and I guess understanding goes a long way:)
Well, I was about to make a clean install but for some odd reason the system had labeled my d: partition as c: so instead of wiping the windows partition I wiped everything else! I couldn't unformat but I was lucky enough to have access to tiramisu (I think that was what it was called back then) and managed to rescue every important file.. The rest, well, the programs could simply be re-installed. Had I not been able to recover them I would have lost all the poetry and fanfiction I had written in a couple of years not to mention the painstakingly romanized Japanese lyrics for more than 100 songs.. Now I have backups of the most important stuff.
It seems that every remake these days is only true in name.. Well, almost every remake :)
If there's one game I would love to see updated, it would be Iron Lord. Same kind of game, same music, just re-recorded, and updated graphics..
