  1. Story here on Firm Pays 6.5 Million for Fax Spamming · · Score: 2

A year or so ago I used to work in a place that used those little nextel phones. Well one day an automated spamfax machine kept dialing my bosses nextel phone number. At first he decided to ignore it but during the week it started happening more and more. So we figured out the fax number it was coming from, and sent them about 1500 faxes back telling them to not dial his number. Ahhh good times.

  2. Re:This "one good song" bullshit.... on Eavesblogging the Internet Law Program · · Score: 2

Finally, I'm more than willing to shell out money to support the artist.

They get like a quarter to a dollar per album man, the other 15 or so dollars goes straight to the record companies, thats what Im against, either lower prices or give the artists more.

  3. Internet Law..... on Eavesblogging the Internet Law Program · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Internet Law according to the RIAA:
    1. Mp3s are bad, they are all illegal.
    2. We have the right to hack your computers and delete whatever we want.
    3. Even though our artists get one dollar per album sold and it costs 2 dollars to make the album, we will still charge 17.99 for each album with only one good song.

    *ahem* Thankyou and good day.

Ahh, brain hurts, time pretzel, OW!

  19. Errors in the post on New Wireless Technologies · · Score: 5, Informative

From Slashdot: 4) Ultra wideband to transmit 100 mbs wirelessly (but only for distances of 10 feet...).

From the article: The FCC ruling limits the range of UWB transmissions to about ten metres, although longer ranges may be allowed in future once the question of interference has been sorted out. However, UWB is capable of a data rate of at least 100 megabits per second over such distances.

The first thing, the Slashdot post makes it sound like 10 ft is the maximum UWB can go, and second, its 10 METERS not 10 FEET

  20. I still like on New Wireless Technologies · · Score: 1

...the article about the wireless technology in the 75ghz range that can span miles and maintain speeds of gigaBYTES a second. I dont like the fact that UWB can only go 10 ft at that speed :-(. Will we see any improvements?
