What's with the bizarro conspiracy theory? The same government that came up with the Tuskeegee Syphilis Experiment is suddenly now trustworthy? The same one that lied us into Iraq? The same one that lied and said the NSA wasn't illegally spying on us? Trust is earned, not given. I have no idea why you're pushing a "trust the government" line, it's weird as hell.

You can have nice things because you don't have to fund your own defense. Military is extremely expensive and America defends Europe for free. Who cares if we have "power", that doesn't do our people one bit of good. It's really rich for beneficiaries of that extremely generous funding to treat Americans as some kind of bizarre space alien. We can't have nice things because we have to pay for yours. SWEDEN YES

All this "oh we can't tell you the real price" bullshit needs to come to a screeching halt. This is just cartelism, or guildism, or whatever you can call it. It's an industry screwing us over because it can, and claiming technical difficulties prevent it from changing. It was bullshit when Microsoft did it with Internet Explorer and it's bullshit with hospitals.

  6. Wow, another denial of agency of POC and an insistence that America rules the world. We don't rule the world. That's wrong. By the way, Merkel is the leader of the free world and has been since we pulled out of the Paris agreement. Go bother her and tell her country to spend trillions on the doomed "world order" project. It's bankrupting us, just like it did every other culture that tried.

  10. Most environmental issues are the same way. Motte and bailey strategy. Take a public, reasonable sounding position that hides your real, extreme views. Then when you're challenged retreat to the defensible position. When people stop listening take your real stance.

  11. Says the man from the country that invented Jim Crow laws and used nuclear weapons against POC. How many illegal wars are you in right now?

  12. I knew this could be be blamed on America somehow. Everything that happens in the world is always America's fault. All others lack agency and cannot make decisions for themselves.

  13. If it only affects members of a single minority group, it is indeed racist. Racism isn't about intent. It's also about outcomes. Racism can occur without anyone having to be a racist - or without someone being actively prejudiced against a person of color. Shutting down racist, sexist, and similar conversations protects vulnerable participants.
