    In their defense, the Mario side-games are pretty great. I especially loved "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" and "Mario vs. Donkey Kong".

    Shouldn't a mascot be somewhat flexible?

    The Geneva Conventions are quaint. They simply don't take into account modern warfare. I mean, look at how the terrorists in Fallujah violate the Geneva Convenentions left and right. They attack from (and store weapons in) mosques, schools, hospitals, etc. They falsely wave the white flag and then ambush anyone who tries to take them prisoner. They play dead and boobytrap bodies.

    And thus, according to the Geneva Conventions, its okay for our soldiers to bomb mosques, shoot people playing dead, and take no prisoners. They have to.

    I hear Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 both have similar physics engines. The thing is, Doom 3 doesn't have a gravity gun... ...yet. Apparently there's going to be one in the expansion pack (developed by a third party). Yes, its a blatent ripoff, but so what? I hear you'll be able to catch enemy rockets and other projectiles, so it might even be an incremental improvement.

    There's also a "mountain" of evidence that the moon landings were faked. And there are "mountains" of evidence that UFOs are real, and that Mumia Abu-Jamal didn't kill Daniel Faulkner.

    It's the *quality* of this so-called mountain of evidence that you have to look at.

    I agree. You'd never see the Republicans implying that Kerry is the spawn of Satan while Bush is chosen by God...


    We're talking about this one guy's experience. He's young and in a swing state, so odds are the Kerry supporters would be dogging him.

    Oh, and I think this election the Democrats took the cake on demonization.

    So what your saying is that people in Massachusetts are smart enough to avoid entering into bad marriages, while those in the south are more likely to enter into a marriage that will end badly?

    No, because the same percent of marriages in both Massachusetts and "the South" end in divorce.

    If Massachusetts divorce rate among the married was actually lower, than your hypothesis might have a leg to stand on. But that's not the case.

    FYI, that investigation is still going strong. Last I heard, the suspects could get off because, as it turns out, they might not have had access to any classified information.

    In related news, the Senate Intelligence Committee found Joe Wilson to be a liar who uncovered nothing and used his wife to get him sent to Niger.

    Most likely, Google was trying to make the Abu Gharib images recognized by their "SafeSearch" feature. Which is to say, if you have SafeSearch turned on, those somewhat explicit images wouldn't display (as I'm sure they did before, as none of the normal keywords would have applied).

    But somebody screwed up, and now they're blocked even if you have SafeSearch turned off. I'd expect this to be fixed soon.
