Really? Visit a few high-quality news blogs on a daily basis, and suddenly you're bypassing the Mainstream Media, who have had a stranglehold on information dissemination for decades.
The problem is that we Americans are pretty much dumb, reactionary, rather uneducated. We approach a situation already with the answer we want and grasp onto "evidence" that supports it.
So we're just like everyone else on the planet, then.
The Geneva Conventions are quaint. They simply don't take into account modern warfare. I mean, look at how the terrorists in Fallujah violate the Geneva Convenentions left and right. They attack from (and store weapons in) mosques, schools, hospitals, etc. They falsely wave the white flag and then ambush anyone who tries to take them prisoner. They play dead and boobytrap bodies.
And thus, according to the Geneva Conventions, its okay for our soldiers to bomb mosques, shoot people playing dead, and take no prisoners. They have to.
I hear Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 both have similar physics engines. The thing is, Doom 3 doesn't have a gravity gun......yet. Apparently there's going to be one in the expansion pack (developed by a third party). Yes, its a blatent ripoff, but so what? I hear you'll be able to catch enemy rockets and other projectiles, so it might even be an incremental improvement.
> the spineless "mainstream" American media won't touch this story with a 20 meter cattle prod, despite the mountain of evidence available
There's also a "mountain" of evidence that the moon landings were faked. And there are "mountains" of evidence that UFOs are real, and that Mumia Abu-Jamal didn't kill Daniel Faulkner.
It's the *quality* of this so-called mountain of evidence that you have to look at.
Colin is retiring for the same reason he refused to run for office in 1996 and 2000: his wife. She's mentally distressed, and even threatened to leave him if he ran for public office.
So what your saying is that people in Massachusetts are smart enough to avoid entering into bad marriages, while those in the south are more likely to enter into a marriage that will end badly?
No, because the same percent of marriages in both Massachusetts and "the South" end in divorce.
If Massachusetts divorce rate among the married was actually lower, than your hypothesis might have a leg to stand on. But that's not the case.
Well, gee, how can anyone argue against that? I mean, you're talking about the man's undocumented "hopes" and "dreams", and are delving into his subconcious mind.
On an unrelated topic, I'm convinced that you'd rape your own mother if you thought you could get away with it.
FYI, that investigation is still going strong. Last I heard, the suspects could get off because, as it turns out, they might not have had access to any classified information.
In related news, the Senate Intelligence Committee found Joe Wilson to be a liar who uncovered nothing and used his wife to get him sent to Niger.
Most likely, Google was trying to make the Abu Gharib images recognized by their "SafeSearch" feature. Which is to say, if you have SafeSearch turned on, those somewhat explicit images wouldn't display (as I'm sure they did before, as none of the normal keywords would have applied).
But somebody screwed up, and now they're blocked even if you have SafeSearch turned off. I'd expect this to be fixed soon.
> Indeed. Please see my reply to the other person who replied to me. Note the timestamp is before you tried to "correct" me?
His correction wasn't completely for your benefit, you know. It's also for all the people browsing the thread, who may or may not have seen his earlier correction (depends on how things get modded).
Erm... that's all. This message isn't meant to be hostile, by the way.
Is there some kind of conspiracy-theory newsletter you people subscribe to?
What makes you think the U.S. casualty rate is even 1%?
All nitpicking aside, I hope you feel better after slandering people better than you (not to mention more well-traveled)...

Seems pretty significant to me.
> make sure that when national guardsmen come home from Iraq, trained in urban warfare and all pissed off at having been abused by the government
Actually, a majority of soldiers in Iraq have a positive view of the war, and 87% report job satisfaction.

When you're obsessed, everything is seen through the prism of that obsession.
You're obsessed with hating George W. Bush, apparently.
Very similar devices already exist for the GBA. This one, for instance, does movies, music, ebooks, pictures, and even old famicom games.
All that and its cheaper too. (No, this is not a product endorsement.)
The NeoGeo Pocket Color was the second generation of the machine. Previously it was the NeoGeo Pocket, which was black-and-white.
> So, which claims, specifcally, do you think are un-provable?
Strictly speaking? All of the above.
So we're just like everyone else on the planet, then.
The truth of the matter is if even one of those allegations was provable, he would have been impeached long ago.
In their defense, the Mario side-games are pretty great. I especially loved "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" and "Mario vs. Donkey Kong".
Shouldn't a mascot be somewhat flexible?
Yes, you can jump in WoW. You can also dance.

We're talking about this one guy's experience. He's young and in a swing state, so odds are the Kerry supporters would be dogging him.
Oh, and I think this election the Democrats took the cake on demonization.

Also mod up his followup post (to himself, yes, I know, but it's good too.)
This may surprise you, but not every Tom, Dick, and Harry (and Monica?) who work "in the White House" have access to classified CIA information.
Also, I'm not surprised that a hardline Bush-basher would smear the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee.

Number four was still pretty good. I especially liked the time warp puzzle, and the final boss battle.
