    What would you have them do about it? If you allow apps to run in the background, then some poorly written apps will abuse the privilege. Avoid those apps and you don't have a problem.

    Sure, but people who are overseas and want to use their phone don't typically use their American cell service, they pick up a SIM from a local provider.

    TSA was created in reaction to the 9/11 attacks, it didn't exist at the time. Furthermore, the private security at the time didn't do anything wrong. Box cutters were not banned items.

    What gives you the idea he wasn't aware of the person coming his way? Normal people don't jump into the street to avoid being within arms reach of other people they pass.

    No matter how fast they are moving they still have an entire planet to pass through. That's not easy to do for particles with mass, even neutrinos don't make it through all the time. Micro black holes also potentially have charge which would make it much, much more unlikely.

    If the micro black holes are really dangerous then it would only take one getting stuck in the earth's mass over the planets history to destroy it, and that doesn't seem to have happened.

    Charge doesn't go away, so in theory black holes can have a charge.

    If you look at a population map of the US you'll notice that the south-east third of New England is very densely populated. In fact Rhode Island, Mass, and Connecticut are the second, third, and fourth most densely populated states. Even including the less densely populated areas the overall population densely is pretty close to California's.

    So no I would not call New England a sparsely populated area, not by any measure.

    They were talking about HTC sense on an Android phone. I don't know why you think HTC Sense on a WinMobile phone is relevant. I can guarantee you none of what you call WinMobile trash is on the Android phone.

    That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. That fact that you used the phrase "my team" says all we need to know. Maybe if you were concerned more about what is good for the nation instead of what is good for your team you would realize that more money is not the way to go.

    Yes, choosing a candidate is much more important that choosing a brand of shoes, and that is the exact reason why we need less commercials and more discussion. Debates inform the public, ads do just the opposite.

    That delay is really annoying. If they need to do it they should start it in the background when you preview and then by the time you post it should be done and they wouldn't need to make anyone wait.

    I'm always amazed at how many misguided people think their rights come from the government. That explains a lot about why statists like Pelosi and Reid think they have so much more traction than they really do. Don't give it to them, now matter how much you want the government to be your Nanny.

    And on the other side of the aisle, it explains why almost the entire Republican party thinks our government can ignore due process when dealing with "terrorists".

    Isn't it much more likely that dogs tend to attack cats because they're convenient? I'm sure if you had other strange animals around the house a dog would be just as likely to be unfriendly towards them.
