    Talk to me when you do a Baudot/ASCII conversion for Ham TTY gear. Of course, it was in firmware and not written in C# but close enough.

    Well, not so fast.

    I'm sure Darl and some of the other officers have a tidy sum stashed away. This will likely only be embarrassing for them and not an economic hardship. To get what they deserve, the Judge would have to go after Darl's personal assets and I thought that was only possible when a crime has been committed to "pierce the corporate veil".

    Thanks for pointing me to that search engine. I quite like it. My plan is to use it for a week and see if I miss Google all that much. This is one of the coolest aspects of frequenting Slashdot; all the cool links and tools I would never find on my own.

    I think the real story is not that an unscrupulous company is defrauding customers of their rebates. What is interesting to me is that people seem to still shop at Fry's!!

    That is one of two places I refuse to ever step foot in again. You should see the customer returns go right back to the shelf. And don't forget the frisk at the door. Yeah, they really value their customers.

    Well the "Great Leap Forward" did cause major famine and death. Whereas in the Soviet Union there was a lot malice at work, the Chinese suffered from incompetence. The result, however, was the same.

    3 megabucks per passenger would not pay for it even if they had the lift and an orbiting facility. Gosh, 2012? It is going to take longer just to figure out cheaper launch vehicles. Also the first time a rich "astro-tourist" gets killed (1st or 2nd flight), the whole operation sinks.

    This is a clear example of galaxy reproduction by fission. Our very own Milky Way galaxy was spawned in this manner. Unforunately, no peer-reviewed journal has accepted my paper on the process yet. The old institutions are always slow to warm up to new theories.

    Actually, you have to treat the devious wenches as lawsuit bait from the moment they set foot in your department

    I concur wholeheartedly. I have witnessed people go down hard because the organization chose to prevent the possibility of a lawsuit by placating a female by firing a male for the most banal, unsubstantiated fluff.

    My personal protection mechanism is to interact only much as necessary for me to remain employed. It's sad to act this way but reality is harsh. I really like women, too. There is just no way I can afford to jeopardize my livelihood on perceived harrassment.
