    The one mouse button - any application designed well should only need one button.

    Hrair's limit (7+-2 for usability) is effectively 2/7's (3/7's on some systems) impaired leaving little complexity left for the screen.

    Time will wither, decay, and ultimately destroy java(tm) just fine. Real /.'ers should be looking ahead what will arise from it's ashes or will merely sweep the ashes out of the way. My guess is it will not be yet another C decendant. How about something that is easy to use (graphic), intuitive to form objects and logic, and runs so fast that everyone will forget that it might be interpreted under the hood? FORTH-2006? SqueekProfessional? APL's evil twin, LPA? LOGO? The work awaits...

    Damn. I hate Oracle. The company has been so arrogant and nazi-like since the days when their db treated every host machine's address space like a big, stupid PC. They insist on bloody everything acting like oracle was the operating system and therefore can't take full advantage of any innovation not made by them (of which there are maybe, 2?). Peoplesoft gets assimilated into the OraBorg.

    is widely hinted at returning to a simpler and more meaninful definition by regarding GPL4 compliancy as "Public Domain", given freely to humanity to be used in any way whatsoever by whomever, forever. And if you make money doing it, we don't care. Pbbbbbblfffffft. :P

    real pro implementations are STILL obsessed with performance, even on totl machines. It's what sells and what makes software succeed. That's why most pro sw is still in C (C++).
