Are you kidding? Dogs would be too busy trying to pee on everything to mark it, and chasing brightly colored fish around, they wouldn't get much work done. Yes I'm a dog owner lol.
Half of them survived the trip, so you can feel good about it. No mention that these creatures have been/will be slaughtered for studying them "on a cellular level".
Some managers failed their basic economics classes and don't understand "economy of scale". You can do things in a large company that are not affordable for a small one. But anyone who thinks that giving up completely and throwing in the towel is an appropriate response doesn't deserve to be in a leadership position.
No I got it, and it has nothing to do with the misinterpretation but rather the "1 in 20" being a "majority". Nice try though, claim it was the intent all along.
171,000 tonnes. Worldwide. Since we started mining gold. I'd say that's pretty rare, especially considering how dense gold is you don't need many m3 to reach that mass. That's only around 9000 cubic meters.
To be fair, I wouldn't mind storing my wealth in diamonds and rubies and silver, either. The problem with the stones is that the price is artificially kept high. The mark-up on jewelry is ridiculous. And of course diamond mining is an effective monopoly. So you pay what DeBeers wants you to pay - which is too much. But short of them dumping loads of diamonds and flooding the market, diamonds could be a fair way to store wealth as well. The problem with diamonds though is you either get a whole diamond or you don't. Gold can be cut up, shaved, powdered, and a precise weight handed over. Silver and aluminum are far too common. Although silver has also been a store of wealth, its value is always less than gold. And platinum is just too rare.
No, the other materials tend to corrode or react over time. Gold does not. It will be exactly the same in 100 years as it is today, no matter where you put it, unless it's raining aqua regia for some reason but then money is the least of your worries.
It's rare. It doesn't rust. It barely reacts with anything at all. It's highly malleable. It's ductile. It conducts electricity. It has plenty of desirable properties. The fact that it's a rare metal that will never corrode makes it perfect as a store of wealth. You can argue all you want with thousands of years of human history. You're still wrong.
As a doctor I am allowed to do many things that you are not allowed to do. Does that make me into another "class" of citizen? A journalist who studied journalism should certainly have both the rights AND responsibilities that go with his earned degree.
There are far simpler ways of installing malware on your machine than by going through an exploit in the game. Like, having the installer for your mod install it for you.

Yep, good old American bullshit in action. It's just about the only thing Americans still manufacture in vast quantities.

You don't need a touch screen all you have to do is push hard enough to separate the contacts.

Google has until July 14th to respond.
Or what?

No I think you're confusing the decimal for a comma.
So how do you fix reading comprehension? One of the 20% is not one in 20. It's one of the 20 out of 100 people. Sigh.
It would make sense if it was a Sith saying...
Look at the exe file with a hex editor. All you will see is numbers.

The planet is not moving at all. It's the rest of the universe that is spinning around us.

Right. So if you see a gold nugget or a piece of gold jewelry on the ground I expect you not to pick it up because it has no value.
And bits of Hadrian's wall can be found in the stone walls of cottages and farms all over Scotland...

DoJ is not allowed to go on fishing expeditions, which is what this was.
No psychologist is a doctor.
Nah, because everyone will reach their data caps in about 80 seconds. There will be plenty of bandwidth for the rest of the month.
Psychologists != Psychiatrists. Derp slashdot, just derp.

Null pointers don't kill programs, it's sloppy programmers who kill programs.
