Considering that Obama was the top donor recipient from Verizon, is it of any surprise? Yet he can't issue an executive order for this stuff but can to restrict guns or assassinate people because it's somehow within his authority...
The big revelation is that he also gave the documents over to US agencies first. Aiding the enemy my ass, he went to Wikileaks after the New York Times (which Daniel Ellsberg used for the Pentagon leak) and other news agencies that didn't follow through.
Yup, Remember Linux for the PS3? I do, it was a big selling point to me as I really loved my Playstation 2 Linux Kit but wished it had more memory. I assumed that their lack of support for PS2 Linux towards the end was an indication they were putting efforts toward the PS3.
I expect launch titles to be swappable but eventually games will start to be distributed (likely at a discount since the price for games is already ridiculous) to have a non-transferable license.
Not really, this may even have CFAA implications. Violate a website's terms of service that is now mandated by state law to provide your actual information on a server in Illinois and the feds will have a field day once the Illinois authorities finds your information to be incorrect, incomplete or untraceable. It doesn't matter where you are in the US.
Yeah, about that, they nixed PS2 support on the PS3 after the first generation and completely abandoned PS1 titles. A great selling point of the PS2 was all the PS1 games could be played with remarkably faster loading times.
Great unless they keep track of what information is handed out to what IP address at a certain time (unless you use tor)... That allows cross-referencing it with an ISP and finding the identity every so-called randomly information to find where you've signed up.
Not to mention you're likely violating the CFAA if it's against the terms of use on whatever site you happen to use.
Because what prevents your information from being sold without mandatory privacy policies and specifically informing users that when you purchase an app that this data gets shared?
OK, so your philosophical belief system is altruism, that man exists solely to serve others. But does man have the right to exist if he does not wish to serve others? Should he be jailed, enslaved, robbed, tortured, killed? Because that's exactly what happens in communism. Does man have the right to exist for his own sake, or not?
This is yet another chapter in the tale of Ron Paul's subtle hypocrisy. He'll complain about globalization and fight against having any global authorities interfering in private citizens' lives, yet he has no problem running to a global authority to interfere in other people's lives on his behalf.
The very nature of the internet is global in scope. There's no rights to specific ones and zeroes that transcend the domain name system, as well as trademark and copyright. When you register a domain name, it's a contract and there's regulations on what it can and cannot be used for. I'm sure if Ron Paul could avoid an international regulatory board to have this resolved, he would have.
Right when there's new DMCA rules that don't allow you to jailbreak your phone. Yet, if a carrier refuses to patch their phones, one can't legally load a new firmware on it, right?
"Agent Smith will have fun time finding a drive to decipher my encrypted data stenographed in a Rage Against The Machine mini disc. I'll never get caught!"
Virgin = Sprint which has reciprocal roaming agreements with Verizon (at least IIRC until next year). Chances are if Sprint doesn't have any towers in your area, you're actually using Verizon's network without even knowing it.
If anyone is interested, interested parties may want to check out a documentary in the works called "An Honest Liar" which is about James' life. I was lucky enough to meet him last year when cameras were following him around.

Well, Iran is the proud new owner of an RQ-170, maybe they decided to take it for a joyride over US airspace?

There are only two fundamental groups: The evil who wish to control people and those who don't. D's and R's don't matter.
Simple: Because idiots keep voting for the lesser of two evils instead of not voting for evil at all.

Anyone know where I can get an RQ-170 in hot pink?

Which came first, ICANN or the UN?

Let's not bring Candy into this discussion....
Appeal to Hypocrisy fallacy to the extreme.

When you're forced to pay into it, you have every right to get it back.
Any Great Lakes state is especially screwed.
Microsoft is predicted to get out of entertainment business because it was Microsoft's fault.

The one thing Microsoft actually does decently and now they may have to sell it off because of Windows 8.
