A GPS spoofer app does nothing with GPS signaling. It simply sends mock location data to the requesting application, in place of legitimate recieved data.
There's nothing at all illegal about it, though most location based AR games will permanently ban you if they detect such activity.
Side note, the whole "Slashdot requires you to wait between each successful posting of a comment to allow everyone a fair chance at posting a comment." thing is patently ridiculous these days. The site isn't even close to being high enough traffic that people can't reply as much as they'd like.
And they are useless, and frequently riddled with malware. I use Google services because they have a value to me. Samsung services (for instance) do not.
I don't want carob instead of chocolate just to "prove a point". I bought an Android phone because I prefer it to Apple's walled garden, and have more freedom to use my hardware as I choose.
I prefer my devices allow me to do as I wish with the content I already own. I like Android devices a lot better, and I'm someone who does pay for content and apps. I just refuse to do it multiple times.
What the fuck does a bug that requires social engineering and ignorant users installing sketchy software have to do with apple's alleged superiority? I have an iPad that a RARELY use. It has its place in my studio, but I haven't set that up since moving. For everything else, I prefer either my Samsung tablet with a proper screen ratio for reading comics without scrolling, or any of my other Android devices that don't try to nickle and dime me for every single fucking thing I do.
For some of these athletes they are literally competing for their future financial well being. Winning an Olympic medal in some places can be life changing. It can make some of them national hero's and set them and their family up for years to come. Would you swim through a river of shit if it would drag your family out poverty? Because for some, that is the stakes on the table.
Given the odds and the competition, that's an incredibly short-sighted gamble. To devote years to something that unlikely when there are MANY better ways to provide. It's all about ego. "Look at me".
Horse shit. There's a huge difference between slobbering hammered and simply having had enough to drink that you'd get arrested due to the draconian MADD sponsored alcohol laws. When I still drove, I used Uber all the time when drinking. I probably COULD have gotten away with driving in those situations, but I'd prefer not to risk my freedom.
Now I live and work downtown and walk everywhere. I still use Uber to get places outside walking distance, but sometimes I'll use it to get home if I don't think I'm safe to walk.
I have a perfect 5.0 rider rating. Of course I've never been beligerant or puked in a car or whatever.
And "most uber drivers I've talked to" isn't a scientific sample. I have NEVER had a problem getting a ride with Uber. I might have to pay a little more than usual if the supply of drivers is lower, but it's still FAR cheaper, more reliable, and safer than any cab service in this area I've ever used.
for Trump's lawyer. Seriously fuck that guy and his fascist demagogue of a client.
I have no obligation to sacrifice my unpaid free time simply because I have a set of skills.

and really, of COURSE Maps needs my location. how the fuck else am I supposed to use it to navigate? /facepalm
She isn't Donald Trump.
Unfortunately, that has to be enough for me.
I'll never support that racist prick.
Fuck you. I like steak.
Look man, what I do with my car is none of your business.
You can also sue for injunction, as in "Injunction against further sales of all products in the United States until company is within compliance"
Probably no one will but that woudl be great to see.
Agreed. I finished reading TFS at the words "paid for by Greenpeace.
OK Dipshit. You're going to run your mouth without justifying it, you can go fuck yourself. *plonk*
And your qualifications vs his are?
I'm pretty sure Dr. Hawking has thought this through a lot more than you have.
What exactly have you done that qualifies you to gainsay him?
Please explain in detail.
You're exaggerating the effect that a simple nuclear reactor would have even in a catastrophic failure by a whole lot.
Donald Trump isn't POTUS.
He hasn't earned any respect at all.
You don't?
Try not being an neo-nazi.
Oh fuck straight off. Do you defend a fascist demagogue proto hitler running for POTUS? I'm guessing you do.

So much for Apple haters being silent.
Actually, this phone is meant to be able to go into the Gear VR 2, so the high DPS would be useful in that application certainly.

I hope not. Keep the IOC far the fuck away from the city I live in.
Hopefully this meaningless tripe will implode due to the IOC's corruption and greed.
It represents being one of the three best at something that doesn't actually matter at all.
But with extensions like Scriptsafe you can selectively enable javascript only for hosts that SHOULD be trusted. like your bank.
Leaving Javascript enabled for all comers is insanely stupid.
Because it's the Year of Al Franken.
