I would assume if you have someone working for you on a project that they are giving fairly regular status updates. It should become apparent from the updates that the project is far ahead of schedule and thus you should be able to adjust the timeline and resource allocation accordingly. Most developers don't work in isolation only to emerge when the project is completed...
Reminds me of the famous Apocalypse Now scene where they were playing Ride of the Valkyries from their helicopters while blowing up a Vietnamese village.. the irony of course being that the composer Wagner was an anti-semitist and a favorite of Hitler's...
If you're constantly feeling tired or hungry it's not a healthy way to lose weight. You should concentrate on eating healthy foods (get rid of those sugary snacks and pops NOW) and take up a good fitness sport like squash. I know people who have slimmed down a LOT over the past year or so by playing squash, it works wonders for your cardio and helps build muscle too. Coupled with a few hours at the gym a week and you should see yourself improving in no time. The key here is regularity, if you go less than 3 times a week (I like to go every other day) the results may be pretty slow in coming. Don't go EVERY day or you'll exhaust and injure yourself, leave at least a one day break. Drink lots of water, eat healthy foo. substitute your regular fatty beef meals with something healthy and protein rich like fish.
I have one of these 20" widescreens from Dell, and in my opinion one of the coolest features is that you can rotate the screen to get a 1050x1680 display. It's awesome for reading large documents for extended amounts of time as you can fit more lines on the screen at once. I love it.
Or maybe Google is just responding to all the people like myself who are tired of finding a zillion blog crosslinks copying the same entry when searching for something, with my actual search result buried 3 pages in to the search.
which I don't think it is, since getting a show for $2 is pretty damn sweet (assuming you're not one to usually pirate), this new iPod is still pretty much *the same price* as the previous generation. So you still get the color screen, but now a bigger HD andn a slicker look than the previous iPods for almost the same cost. Why would it be a flop then? Even if you're not interested in watching videos on it but were looking to buy a full sized iPod anyway, you would buy this product. No doubt many people will do just this, not buying in to the videos.. and then one day they'll check out the video content just out of interest and suddenly Apple will tap in to a whole market of incidental video buyers. Many of these will then likely turn out to be regular buyers. Apple is also wise in moving in the movie distribution direction as many of the film studios are far more open to online distribution than the RIAA and I would bet on the fact that some of them have been courting Apple to set up a distribution channel.
I know lots of people have commented on using the hot/cold method to determine which bulb is which, there's another problem with that as well: You don't know the initial state of the bulbs.
Say for example all the bulbs are initially ON, and you flip two of the switches to what you think is on. Then when you flip one of them to what you think is "off" and wait a while, and go in to the room, you'll find two bulbs on, but you'll misidentify them because the one you thought you switched to "off" you actually turned "on". Not to mention they could be in mixed states initially..
And I thought it was an interview with some of the members of Kraftwerk, who were for some reason working for Sun. I guess that's what staying up till 4:00 (and listening to copious amounts of Kraftwerk) does to you:S
Just because you have the code doesn't mean you know how the system is assembled and how all the components work together. "Reverse Engineering" is a pretty loosely defined, but if you take it literally, it's just that.. reversing the engineering process. From the description of the question, the poster is looking to take the finished product (the source for this game..) and move back up the high level design phase. This means analyzing the module interconnections, class hierarchy, and that sort of stuff. It doesn't necessarily mean they want to "port" or "compile" it.
There's lots of companies out there whose only product is IP which they sell to other companies. Particular in fields such as biomedical engineering, many companies are doing research in to protein strains which they patent and then sell to other companies (I have a friend who worked for one of these..). Same kind of thing happens in the semiconductor field.
Just check out their website: http://www.cyberdyne.jp/ENG/. Looks like an amateur hack... The photos indicate the all important GLOWING RING JOINTS on the exoskeleton, no doubt the first feature to be implemented. If you look at the corporate info, the company was founded in June of 2004, and has a capital of 10M JPY.. which looks big at first sight, until you consider it's just a little under 90k USD. Looks to me as if they're pulling our leg, especially considering how little real info there is here. I won't even get in to the no doubt intentionally comedic naming of the company and its "product". Also check out this pic: http://www.cyberdyne.jp/Image/sakurai_double.JPG, yeah.. that exoskeleton is definitely necessary to lift a 90 lb. Japanese girl..
The Finnish metal band "Children of Bodom" recently did a cover of "Oops.." and it's AWESOME (assuming you can deal with the angry screaming metal singing typical of these kinds of bands...).. definitely worth checking out.
If you are sending the text message by email, eg: #########@carrier.com the carriers are the ones who will be sending out the message to the phone, I would think that they are smart enough to control the number of text messages sent by the service.
MOO3 had to be one of the most boring strategy games ever created and one of the most disappointing sequels I have ever played. I looked forward to it for so long but then when I finally got it, most of the game time was spent clicking "next turn" and letting the automated AI do all the work, with occasionally doing some minor tweaks.
Comprehensive simply means it has a wide scope, or is composed of many elements. I'm pretty sure KOffice does indeed have the most tools (Word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software, database, charting, vector graphics, raster graphics, project management, charts, formulas, reports..). MS Office has most of those, but afaik it doesn't have a dedicated vector or raster graphics program just yet. Whether or not KOffice's components are as powerful as those in other suites is a different matter...
Yeah, if there's one thing good that came out of it is that the service we got from IBM was exceptional. Every defective unit was repaired within the week, no questions ask. We kept a few extras on hand and would just swap the user's HD in to a spare unit while awaiting for theirs to be repaired.
At the company I worked for, we were already getting a large (probably 10-15% iirc) failure rate with the T41's and X31's we were buying some time before the Lenovo take over.. mostly problems with the display going to garbage after several weeks..
You can pick up mixing consoles for fairly cheap on Cragislist. I've seen older 8 channel Mackie's going for under $100.

Does anyone have a torrent?

You can login with public/public to see the scoreboard.

90 watts at peak load. I doubt the power supply would last very long running at 500 W for any extended period of time..
Yeah exactly, MOO2 was one of my favorite games of all time... even furthering my disappointment with MOO3 :(

Wouldn't it be possible transmit the power through the cable itself? Or are there some major disadvantages that preclude it from being used?
