They were approved over a year ago here. We have to support them, but are not given any to train with for said support. You still need iTunes, as they expect you to back up your iPad or iPhone in case you mess it up and it gets wiped. But the iTunes install requires an Administrator login, which not too many users have. They're not locked down in any way except that, once they are synced to our Exchange server, we can remotely wipe them. But that requires them to be connected to the Internet and access to certain sites.
Sorry, been a while since I read up on it, but I'm sure you're right. If you can grow (close to) enough food for everyone and not have to use tons of fertilizer produced by a wasteful process, isn't that a good idea? And the fallow land makes a good place to raise sheep, cows, and chickens somewhat free-range.
German wines are generally sweeter than those from other countries, and rarely have a very oaky flavor, though they can still be earthy. There are a few blended reds I like, and some blended whites, but my favorites are Riesling and Gewurztraminer, both somewhat sweet whites.
I just (re)joined Netflix a little over a month ago. When I signed up they told me it would be $7.99 a month just streaming, or 9.99 for streaming + 1 DVD. My wife and I opted for just streaming. There's so much on there that neither of us have watched, and some interesting documentaries that are only available streaming.
They're getting paid more, yes, but with a negligible amount more training and experience, as well as fewer background checks it seems.
I think the parent poster, though, was talking about the fact they are there to direct people in the event of a water landing, etc.
I have the opposite "problem". That much wine would make me throw up and give me a headache. Though those would be postponed until the next day, of course. Maybe I should just mix the two?
I see lots of people with iPhones (not a Pod), Android phones, and Sandisk MP3 players, as well as the odd Nokia phone or other cheap MP3 player. I really don't see all that many people around here rocking their iPod anymore, to be honest. Granted, the iPod is the best selling music player, but in my geographical area I see more Sandisk and Coby (et al) players.
If Jesus is real (I'm Christian, so I believe he is/was) and has no sense of humor (I'm pretty sure he does, but here's for arguments' sake), then I'm probably going to hell for laughing so hard at this.
Talk to Indian farmers. They were given the GMO crops that produced more food, but in the past 15-20 years they have gone back to the farming they've done for thousands of years. And they are having an even easier time feeding lots of Indian people as they did when using the GMO crops.
Sustainable farming can and does provide food in large quantities. Yes there are starving people in India, but it's not an issue of the amount of food, but distribution.
And they also knew about crop rotation, by which you grow different crops each year/season and the land never goes unused. But in 3 years time you can grow, say, wheat there again, when you were growing something else there the past 3 years.
Many people seem to forget that successful non-label artists generally were once label-signed artists. They just finished off their contract and then went on their merry way. The problem is that most artists are signed to make X number of albums over Y years, and they either can't come up with enough good stuff so they peter out, or the label vetos the music they want to put on an album. Many artists have their creativity tied down when signed to a label, as well.
I wish this point of view was more prevalent here in the US! So many people are calling for blood, but there's just no concrete evidence. Yes, she probably had something to do with the murder, but the jurors have to rule based on the evidence they are given, not on their gut feelings. I respect the decision they came to, and how they came to it.
That said, I wish people would just let it rest now. I got tired of it when I happened to see Nancy Grace talking about the "tot mom" thing.
Most of the TSA officers I've seen look like they just stepped out of the ghetto with their shiny new high school diplomas. I don't even think they're salaried employees. It looks like a barely-above-minimum-wage job. You can't expect to get professionals on $10 an hour.
You misspelled GED. And minimum wage is just a hair over $5 an hour, so they're a decent amount above that. Still not really a living wage in many areas.
Other than that you are completely correct.
Most places don't see development as only a cost center because they reap real benefits from it. Granted, some companies do, but I haven't personally seen them.
I agree with the idea that you don't hunt or fish unless you're going to eat it. Hos about I hunt you down, and then release you after you think I'm about to kill you? would you like that? I'm not a PETA member or anything, but I really do think it's cruel. And yes, I do fish, don't hunt but that's cause I don't have the time.
+1, and an extra +10 if you can actually define the word grok without using the phrase "you know". Seeing as the creator of the word couldn't even do that, I would be very impressed.

Good luck even finding an open Blockbuster any more. All the ones around here closed a couple years ago. And most Hollywood Videos closed too.

I made ring tones for free well before the iPhone came out....

I personally prefer German red wines (I know!), but I can drink to that idea.
Does truecrypt support a pre-boot environment?

I need to remember that "jean test" line. Yes I steal most of my jokes from others, but I share them with people who don't read /. so it doesn't count.
If it wasn't patented, it doesn't count. At least that's how I understand it.

Tried that, unfortunately it hasn't worked yet.

Aren't all punishments corporeal? Or are you sending them to hell?
Maybe you meant corporal.

Reading, exercising your mind, I can think of many ways.
Oh, and avoiding reality shows like Jersey Shore and Real Housewives of ****** like the plague.
