It's not as risky in countries other than the US. People can enjoy watching the kids play as part of winding down from work without people thinking they're pedophiles (as much at least) as here in the States.
I think I live near that one in the US! and have climbed on it! That said, there's one about the size of the one in France where I grew up. And yes, it's still there. They replaced it about a year ago because the rope was getting really frayed.
Hmm, how can you seriously believe this when there are numerous studies that show anyone going into shock from *smelling* peanuts is having a 99.9% psychological reaction? The effects of smelling an allergen like peanuts (that is not truly airborne, ever) would be mild, and not really ever require an epi-pen.
Wow, as a junior in high school I was left alone for a week. It was nice, no brothers or sister or parents for a whole week and I cooked and cleaned for myself.
Yes, but look at other countries such as Germany, France, and others in Europe. They have government pensions for the elderly and don't have nearly the problems. Not saying I know how to fix it, but it is fixable. Maybe not with an "American" mentality, though.
Maybe I need to either move to Seattle, or become a developer. I work with the network/hardware support area and unemployment in my area (Tampa Bay) seems fairly high for those types of jobs. Oh, and I've heard Seattle is nice, as well. I will see as I am vacationing there in the next few months.
I, personally, don't give Ferrari much (many?) artistic kudos. I just think many of their styles are just ugly. But that's subjective, just like any type of art. I love Monet's works, but am not much into Picasso at all. That doesn't mean Picasso is bad, per se, just that I don't prefer the aesthetic.
I agree with you to a point. You can get almost endless entertainment with a PS2 and a few games for fairly cheap. Netflix, however, at a minimum or $96 a year, is not all that cheap. You can also go to free movies in the park in places, read library books, watch over the air TV, etc. Or watch Youtube, Hulu, etc for free.
Yes, I would. Especially if they kept the x-rays for bags and metal detectors, but let us keep our shoes. The x-ray machines have been there for so long and do a decent job of finding stuff, along with the metal detectors. I haven't seen any evidence that the TSA has found anything with any of the extra measures they have put in place.
Um, this is true. They have no legal obligation. And some restaurants get away with it. Not many, but some. The rest are stopped by popular opinion of local people.
Yes, but if they say that, they are telling the content companies "Charge us whatever you want and we will gouge our customers for it" instead of putting themselves in a good bargaining position. Not that they're in a great position now, but it would still make it worse.
To counter your points:
1. The selection seems great to me and my wife.
2. I haven't had a problem with the site redesign. I actually think it is fairly nice. Plus I do most of my watching through the Wii. No I don't care that it tops out at 480p.
3. You are probably right. But I don't have that problem as my wife and I have similar tastes. Not sure I would have married her if we were too different.
4. I stopped getting DVDs a while ago because there's so much to watch on streaming. When I did and complained about a scratched DVD, they sent one immediately. I sometimes even got it next day Oh, and I got an apology on the web site where I reported it. Also I've only had one streaming movie drop, and I only have a 3 Mbps connection.
5. Not sure what the deal is with this... You want them to have something like Amazon where you can "rent" a movie not available for regular streaming for $5? Nothing I'd want.
6. Since I dropped DVDs as soon as it was an option, there's no price increase for me.
Just a little bit of a correction. You don't just go to the Apple store and say you want to run all the apps and buy any phone they have. There are apps that work on the 4 that don't work, or are excruciatingly slow or impaired, if you use even the 3GS.
The Bible was written as allegory, with some history mixed in as well. It's only in the last ~1000 years or so that people have believed it as all true. the Iliad was seen as true as far as all myths were back in its day. Beowulf is a fairy tale / monster story that was never meant to be taken as true. So there is a difference there. Or do you mean to say that we shouldn't take any lesson from books like Uncle Tom's Cabin because they aren't true?
That said, some lessons can be taken from the Iliad and Beowulf. Those lessons are left to the reader to interpret.

I did that with the more "dangerous" stuff when I was a kid, when I got bored of the regular, sort of dangerous stuff.
I carve my name in dessert all the time. Ice cream works well.
Hence the Cyrillic
Hmm, looks like the down mod never stuck.

I lurked since they were giving out 4 digit IDs, and look where I am now.
With a UID that low I can almost believe your user name too.
We have to find another solution.

Someone probably could patent it, nowadays at least.

I'm sure there are some who enjoy handling penis all day long. Just because you don't, doesn't mean nobody does.
No, beer casks are definitely of a different variety from whiskey casks. If you're using the same for both, you're doing something wrong!
Why don't they switch to bandwidth numbers like Wifi does sometimes, i.e. 54g or 11b, or even 54a. Then it wouldn't matter how many G's there are.
