That is, MS distributed java, but played all kinds of games while doing it, and i am not talking about Solitaire even though that is what they wanted as a result. Might the same happen to Linux? Would they release software that works great with Linux for a little while, and all of sudden not. Well...come to think of it, they can't get their software to work with their own OS properly.
In any event, if they do develop linux software, they are essentially just another software company at that point.
...because MS is a minority shareholder in SENDO. Not only is it embarrassing to MS but points out that MS power to control is loosening and can't even strongarm companies in which it has a stake.
Bob Massa, president of SearchKing., Inc. and PR Ad Network, filed a lawsuit today against Google on the grounds the organization arbitrarily and purposefully devalued his companies' and his customers' web sites, causing his business to suffer financially. Massa is asking that the court grant preliminary and permanent injunctions against Google.
Hate to tell you Bob, an action cannot be arbitrarily ("determined by chance") and purposefully ("intentional") committed.
After all, these are issues that *kill* people. And human lives are more important than money, aren't they? Aren't they?

not that it matters much but doesn't NATIVE AMERICAN refer to the "Indian" part of the "cowboys and indians" mentioned here. So in this case, maybe Indian American means someone from India.
in all, it is just stooopid that ethinicity plays any part b/c labels are not what is at point here.
Creeping Zombie Jesus, why do these things always have to be IMPLANTED IN A PERSON?
I mean damn, why can't this thing be a ring or (wonder of wonders) like a credit card.
And another damn thing...for those of you who say this is good for medical emergencies, What the hell ever happen to those ID bracelets for medical emergencies!

you know what i mean, dicksmack. Even if it is free, go ahead and apply the obligatory "first hit is free / crack dealer analogy" by way of MS not charging.
I think everyone knows that the.NET sdk is free, but what about server software, the ide, the cost of licensing an MS web service, and all kinds of other BS charges that MS can and most likely will make up along the way.
All of that cost vs. linux/apache/mysql/java and free ide(s), definitely shouts run from Microsoft, in terms of cost.
In addition, I think web services are having and will continue to have a good impact on info technology, but don't let MS have another monopoly.

May be preaching to the choir, but not one friggin' article, technical or otherwise, talks about the cost of implementing.NET. All I've seen is glib and kiss-ass comments about how MS and.NET will make us all superhuman. BS.
MS is not known to want nothing for something, and I am sure that.NET is not different. If you sign up for.NET be prepared to pay highly for it, and not just in dollars.
It seems most posts up to this point have missed out on the LARGE picture. Most have spouted about how "SUN would do the same thing as Microsoft if they could" or "ORACLE and SUN are no different". Who cares if it is Microsoft, SUN, ORACLE, or IBM? That is just a name. The concept of a centralized, PAY FOR USE, data system operated by any company or government is a dumb idea. First, there is no way to gurantee security from a hack standpoint. As the article says, MS (as other companies) has had trouble keeping out intruders. Why not just save time and publish every Passport member's SSN and Credit Card Number on MSN.com?
And Second, all of this passport info is going to be opened to any site owner/developer who pays for it. Not that developers aren't good people, but I am sure one or more individuals are willing to cough up the subscription fee to passport, just to get a chance to swipe members' billing info.
At least with each company managing their own customer data, the sheer volume of exposure is diminished.
If you are going to pirate something, then at least wear the patch. It is more authentic that way.
Being from Memphis, I am well aware how supportive AutoZone folks are of Linux, as many AutoZone techs are members of GOLUM.
I hope AutoZone countersues them into the ground in a most genteel, southernly manner.
Now off for my morning bowl of hot grits.

McGwire stuffs data sheets from satelite under his cap and runs away.
The best rule to follow is: never say anything in email or in a posting that you would mind saying in person to everyone you know.

I am glad that nothing like this is tried in the U.S.A.
If United Linux thinks they can "unseat" RedHat by using a per seat license, they are dead wrong, regardless of what RMS thinks.
Good luck at your going-out-of-business sale, United Linux.
