It's always going to be feisable to copy music. If you can't directly rip a cd right from your cdrom, then you can use the line in function on your soundcard an play it from a "Music Disc' player. I'm sure there is many other ways as well.

The idea that one is all is absurd. Besides it's obvious grouping of people with many diffrent ideas, it also is a slap in the face for e very human being who dis/belives in anything.

Germans harbored Nazis, so Germans are all morally bankrupt. Some American groups killed witches at one time, so all Americans are morally bankrupt. A group of Islamic people brought down the trade center, so all Islamic people are morally corrupt. Russians were part of the USSR and practiced Stallinism, all Russians are morally backrupt ... Shall I go on?

Everyone is, and will be upset with what has happened in New York but it doesn't have anything to do with cryptography for the average joe american. Just like what is posted in the artical, a terrorist could find a back door in someones/corporate crypto much faster than they could decrypt the key ... and chances are many of the backdoors (all?) will be almost identical.

One thing that is possible is to say that crypto is against the law for terrorist use. Obviosly, this won't stop anyone from using it (thank God :-)) but it does allow tag on charges against those doing wrongful acts.

    Just an idea.

  15. NBC against the Christian God on First-Person Account Of Today's Attacks · · Score: 2, Insightful

As most of you saw, President Bush gave a quick speech to the US nation in which he included some refrences to his belifes. I think this is a allright and valid thing to do since this country was in part made to keep religios oppression out for every citizen. Unfortunatly, (MS)NBC doesn't agree and rebroadcasted the speech sans the 'God' parts ... the president couldn't even say God bless America. The attacks against our country are a terrible and upsetting thing, and a censoring of a religious minority in the US (Christianity) is icing on the dirty cake. :-(
