A former legislator used to love this sort of thing. As the State Legislature was considering making the tuba the State Instrument, which came to pass, she said this type of silliness takes time away from passing more bad laws.
'This is theoretically possible but practically unlikely,' says Claire Cranton, a GSM spokeswoman, noting that no one else had broken the code since its adoption.
"There has never been a successful escape from Stalag 13." - Werner Klemperer as Colonel Klink, Hogan's Heroes
It's Day 5 and I can't find anything referencing how much of this is getting around on http://www.virus-radar.com/.
Sure, it's not the most important characteristic, but anyone seen it?
At d =description&virus_k=130621>, McAfee says "Due to the fact that Internet Explorer executes script prior to writing it to disk (IE Cache), <b>McAfee VirusScan's ScriptScan must be enabled</b> in order to block this exploit prior to execution on the desktop with the On Access Scanner."
>1.) Use a firewall to block unnecessary access from the external network
For this particular Windows exploit, this only delays the inevitable. This worm has been out for 5 weeks; networks of Windows machines are still going down now. Eventually someone brings the thing in on a laptop.
>2.) Patch Windows often
Amen.
>3.) Use anti-virus software and update the definitions often
Because detection works for many anti-virus programs but removal doesn't, these programs serve to alert lusers to the problem but don't solve it.
For me, the Charter Pipeline installer didn't work. I unplugged the cable modem, then plugged it back in. Then I got the new address using DHCP and after a few minutes it worked. I switched my e-mail to:
mail server: mail.charter.net
SMTP server: smtp.charter.net
The Charter support line works worse than their installer - they hang up every time.
>>You only think they're wonderful because, like me, you saw them as a kid. There are NO adult themes or elements in ANY of the films, these are aimed at children, Lucas has said they always were and always will.
Joseph Campbell was very impressed with the mythic base for the Star Wars story. Campbell was honored that his books helped inspire Lucas' story. The story entertains more than just the generation that grew up with A New Hope.
We have beer, too.

The NP2720 at neocomputers.com is advertised as being light, though its listed weight is 7 lbs. Comparatively, that's not light.

Dang. I guess I have to build my own systems or get servers. Any tips on what motherboard?
I do imagine a cluster - of about 20 machines. As they get replaced in future years, they would serve as Windows workstations for the masses.
Would anyone have a tip as to a PC manufacturer who would like to sell me some high-powered reliable Athlon XP workstations?
