You are not kidding! I had no idea. I am in Canada so the problem is also compounded by our decreasing dollar. The 64GB of memory I purchased a year ago is over double the price it was.
This year my cheapo ebay packages from China have been taking 2 months instead of the usual 1. I hear it's because they have stepped up scanning for fentanyl coming in Chinese packages.
I would love an Ask Me Anything from some of the sys admins. I'd be curious how the switch went, the troubles or lack of them they had during and after the switch and why there is pressure to switch back to Windows.
I only wish Vale would finish Half life 2 (the forever waiting Ep 3). I don't care if they never make another game after that. Steam is an excellent game store/launcher and I feel disappointed if a game I want is not steamworks....as competing services are noticeably worse.
Explains some things. The floor before mine is a PwC office...everyone getting off on the floor looks well dressed and under 30. I think I know the two IT guys strictly by age and wardrobe alone.
Ugh....there is nothing wrong with community mailboxes.I'm a Canadian and in my mid 30's and for those of us that were not born in a city community mailboxes is how it has always been.
If you are running Snow Leopard then you might want to check out http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3841 and disabling this driver until you get SP's installed.
Then again all these problems could just be due to running SP0/1 .
The problem with an OS-free PC is that it will actually cost you more. The large PC manufacturers get Windows for very cheap, and then load it up with "value added" software, links, demos and other such great stuff. It turns out that by having Windows on the PC they are actually turning a profit.
You might not like paying for Windows in some way, but in effect it lowers the cost of your PC, odd as it may sound.
Either pay more (or at worst get no reduction in cost), or just nuke windows off the drive when you get it.
don't start charging tax on blank DVD's. A few years ago I would of ( and was ) more incensed with the CD tax, since I primarily used them for data backup. These days, with the price of DVD burners and media being so cheap I have bought exactly one 50 pack of CD's in the last six months.
My greatest worry is if they somehow manage to bring back the horrid mp3 player tax. That tax was the worst one. They were going to run into mp3 players with more tax in the price then the mp3 player was worth as the storage media incrased in sized, but the tax was not scaled to the price drop of the storage media.
Well I have a friend who does this sort of thing (currently 200k off of Newfoundland I believe), and all the commercial ROV's he has worked with have positive buoyancy, lose power and it floats up.
It is quite interesting stuff, he works with ones that are just simple cameras, all the way up to larger ones with multiple arms and tool attachments.
...or as know by it's marking name Linux 2000.
Take a look at https://teksavvy.com/en/reside... and put in your postal code. Switching to BC shows me that they are offering cable internet there.

Does anyone use Universal apps? I have seen a few people use the Netflix app...but that is the extent of it.

I have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 5...both no longer run the latest android direct from google....but with custom ROMs they both run 7.1.1 flawlessly.
Sumatra is fast, light and crap free.

Just grab anything on this list.

"As usual, Microsoft will be receiving comments on the new features via the Feedback app" ...and ignoring them.
No kidding. If it's an option check it out. You may be surprised.
My ISP's business connection is actually cheaper, faster, no usage cap and comes with a phone line.
If you are getting the 4mb error this is usually due to an old version of bootcamp in Leopard. If you are running Leopard you need at least boot camp 2.1 http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/bootcampwindowsxpdriversupdate21.html .
Although not required you can install 2.2 http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/bootcampdriversupdate22forwindows.html as well.

Or to a different country. Roaming charges bitch!
Wow 47 million...that is more people than we have in Canada total.
I can't imagine not having our public health system.
Please?
I think Futuremark has a benchmark for that! Although I hear some IT/IS Department are hiring custom techs just to get high results on it.

It might not sound the smartest idea, but Sony has done it before ...see Dreamcast.

Mmm perhaps not.
You would have to leave your PVR/whatever on to seed, but as you might of noticed, your computer continues to function with your monitor off.
This one is quite old though.
