Thanks to someone else on this thread, I found an SVG viewer (adobe) and installed it. Safari required a restart, I restarted it.
You really need to set up instructions for people who may not have svg viewers.
Also, your animations were lovely but the greek characters were replaced with square blocks. Alpha, lambda, anything else, I can't tell what they are on the mac since they are square blocks.
Looks like you've got a great start there. Just time to wrap up the details to bullet proof it.
Ok, I've already mentioned that you need a mac viewer. For those people who use these macs.
Your inspiration's example is terrible - with respect to bandwidth.
It is good because it has Mpeg AND Quicktime. That's a choice that is nice. Almost everything plays mpeg1 and quicktime is a FREE and easy to get download that is xplat.
The bandwidth on the QT is terrible - 852 Kbps. It is using the wrong codec. The bandwidth on the Mpeg 1 is also rather high - 355 Kbks. Quality on both is good.
Bandwidth can be improved by exporting the quicktime to Sorenson or 3ivx and running a few comparison tests to compare quality and bandwidth. What is LOVELY about 3ivx is that is can create pure MPEG 4 output so Quicktime can create a movie that can be played outside of quicktime. Like in WMP.
Using 3ivx I was able to get the videos output as pure MPEG 4 at almost identical quality at 150 K per second with just a few tests. That's taking a 5 meg movie and turning it to 860 K. I'm sure we could do better if we tried.
Now, If you've got a mac plugin, I'd love to see those 5 K movies!!
Yeah! I have tried the Jasmine Pearls and I agree with you. Don't like it. However, many teas get bitter after steeping for a long time. The Dragon Pearls or White Dragon Pearls will steep for a long time before getting bitter. I steep them in a clear glass container and and when they get the right shade of yellow, I'll filter.
I get the tea here locally at a Chinese tea shop in San Francisco and also ala mail order from Silk Road Teas in Lagunitas CA. They are great and reputable.

Not to toot but I've rewritten a windows 98 windowing system in Director and Shockwave in 1999 with:
Windows and floating windows. Video support Key shortcuts 32 bit graphics with alpha channel. Window dragging with live content updating. Multiple window states Multi state buttons Minimizable windows collapsable to a toolbar. Subclassable windowtypes.
And I'm not the only guy to have done stuff like this. There are at least 4 other people I know who have done this.
Living above the border you have to acclimate yourself to a higher latitude. The days have less sunlight and therefore the upper limit of caffeine is higher.
Contrary to popular belief, the effect of caffeine is not hindered by cold weather nor is the Canadian metabolism less efficient as their brethren below the border.
It has been surmised that the greater daily beer consumption by the average Canadian may also contribute to the higher maximal dose of caffeine.
I drink about 20 Oz of green tea a day and I admit, the caffeine and other teaish goodness is liquid motivation.
It seriously can be rocket fuel and wears off smoother than coffee does.
The tea I use needs to be purchased specially at a Chinese tea store and is not prepackaged. It is White Dragon Pearls. Little rolled balls 1/4 of an inch in diameter with young tea leaves and flowers.
I'll put about 40 balls in a 20 Oz glass Campbells soup jar - or a mason jar and nuke for 3:30 to 4 mins. Then let it sit till it is golden - 10 - 15 mins. Filter the Tea into another 20 Oz glass and sip away. Save the leaves because you can generally brew another batch out it this. This tea does not get bitter and you can sip it all morning and into the afternoon.
The stuff is about 40 bucks a pound but that's about 1/2 to a whole year of tea. A bargain at any price.
And it makes me motivated AND feel good about the world. At least till it wears off. Then it's back to my unibomber style shack and dreams about getting rid of that principal Skinner.
These people have gone above and beyond the level of "are we sure they are a spammer". I may be ignorant but honestly feel that if done right, the spammers that require large traffic and links to their business CAN be shut down by revoking their domain. It seems like the biggest weak link in their chain.
However, that is not to say that I don't like your idea. We need as many effective and efficient methods as we can to crush these people.
If a spammer is a repeated spammer, some of the reporting services like spamcop should report them to their registrar. The registrar should revoke their domain and point their domain to a page explaining why this page is unavailable.
If the registrar does not revoke their domain, the registrar should have their operation suspended by the master registrar.
If a registrar has a habit of being a registrar for spammers, they will be shut down.
This seems able to shut down spammers and if this process is fit into the business model of a registrar, may be able to make it more difficult for these assholes to do business.
Guys, this is just FUD. I saw the car yesterday and to quote Monty Python, "It's only a model." All the web site articles yesterday about the Moller is what they plan or hope will happen. Marketing material. Not fact.
The reason why is that in my g3 266 PB,G3 500 PB and G4 1G Ti, the hinges or clutches for the display lid have all snapped after the warrantee expired but through normal use. Apple fixed the two g3's free of cost but not the Ti. Makes you want to start a class action lawsuit. Refrigerator door hinges do not fail after a year of use, why should my laptop's?
With the replacement cost being out of my range, I've either got to live with it, fix it myself or find a good lawyer.
The term the use is "open" as in not proprietary. I remember the VP of products telling me this.
Maybe it's not the same "open" as in open source.

Flash's file format is open.
The authoring tool is created by MM and is payware.
Sooo, the format's open. If you're frustrated, time to get to work writing your own authoring tool.

"Chinese parabolic cookware"
OMFG is that funny.
At times like this, it makes sense. At the CHEAPEST place north of San Fran, regular is 2.31 a gallon.
It's over 2:50 in the city and super is in the range of European prices.
Geez with all these liquid cooled versions, I hear rumors that Porsche will be coming out with a rear engine, air cooled model.
These are art forms but geez. Enough already.
Dude - buzz me if you need any help. I co-founded DOUG.
Nice to see another director guy online.

This is a recently established medicated fact.

Which is why I don't display images in my HTML email.
The problem with MS is that GENERALLY, when they do introduce something, everyone else HAS TO follow suit.
And having HTML email on by default, is inane.
So I'll blame them for introducing another blight into society.
This is why I mentioned repeat spammers.
These people have gone above and beyond the level of "are we sure they are a spammer". Absolutely lovely.
If the item in question is either self aware or capable of self detection, then how does that affect the base argument.
What if the cat was replaced with an object incapable of self detection?
Very interesting indeed.
I've got one of these:

And I've got no luck. Any chance of someone posting pictures of the test??
How do I get in touch with you?
Hey - that's something to consider.
Can you email me at zavpublic AT mac.com ??
Thanks
Oh, yes, sorry. I did want to say something.
You are correct. Your post does make you look fat.

If Megway has a sister, does the brand name change?
And can we order hotter models?
