    Most students don't even have enough money to buy a PC. Period. Nor have they the money to buy a Golf VR6, let alone new (or any new car for that matter).

    More importantly, nobody can afford to buy something bad. If you don't have the money to buy something good, save up or forgett it.

    The 4.4 MB file is a self contained movie including the actual video data (which you can on its own), the 156 KB file is just a container file with internal links to the actual video (and maybe audio) data files somewhere else on the disk. I think Movie Players Info (or extended Info) should tell you were those are, but I'm not sure.

    Sure.

    Much more likely that it was a CIA or Mossad job.

    Note that I don't claim that it was, it's just much more probable than you theory. And both Agencies have killed Americans and Israelies before - not to mention others.

    But using spaces doesn't solve the problem. Only "intelligent" editors do. All human made indentation by two or more individuals with different styles will fuck up the code, even if they only use spaces.

    Because it would be slow. And I do mean slooooow. Routers try to do as little as possible in software plus look at the packets as little as possible to get high throughput. Your device would be hard taxed by just normal traffic, the latest worm attack - esp. when coming from several sources within your network - would make it choke in no time, because it would have to check each packet on a saturated network.

    Do we 'login' to our office building? No we use some form of key, be that a tumbler lock or a swipe card.

    There is even a link to buy the Mac version in German on the MOO3 page - just that it links to MOO2 - D'oh. The fact that the processor requirement Amazon Germany gives for this is at least a 486 also makes me wonder ;-)

    You would have a point - if you only needed a 2+ GHz computer and not the frigging huge 3D card (which does almost all of the 3D work) too.

    Sure it has. It even says so in the article. But it was basically only known by locksmiths (and crooks) and not by "security experts" (unless they were one of the former).

    Umm, the Apollo project was (mostly) a success, both the Shuttle and the ISS (the space station formerly known as Freedom), errm, well, they exist. Now let's look at the budget and analyze if a budget cut leads to success.
