while I hate CS, I think this sums up the worst part nicely
" The other big problem is that while the Steam network is down even the offline games are unplayable."
Valve is the worst game company (as bad as EA) ever created just for that reason. You cant fucking play a game without authenticating on the internet? Thanks! Next we're going to have to enter a 100 digit CD key every time
Well duh. I already have read reviews where the much cheaper, much cooler, slower clock speed Pentium M has kept up with or beaten P4/P4EE/A64/AXP systems. Its just funny that Intel has finally admitted it.
I wonder if theyre going to give a public apology for the P4. What a crappy design. Since the Pentium M was an offshoot of the P3, they really should be sorry that they pushed their inferior designs when they knew they had better.
On a side note, I love AMD, but my next desktop is going to be a Pentium M. Maybe well see dual boards by then...wow.
This is like the mafia suing the MPAA/RIAA/any other business consortium. Theyre the only ones with the balls and the resources to take them on. This is going to be FUN to watch.
Is that so many tech people who buy macs do it because they claim they like that its "based in UNIX" (who gives a shit, is my thought), but then never, ever touch anything. I have NEVER seen a modified OS X system. Ever.
Internet distribution isnt the problem here, the problem is, it costs millions of dollars to make a movie, so the only people who can are the ones who have the millions of dollars. These same people make even more money and are still the only ones who can make these huge movies.
Distribution companies worry me a lot less than the companies that fund the movies in the first place. Its easy to overcome distribution problems compared to overcoming advertising costs, CGI costs, actors pay, hell even the recording media and cameras cost more than most people reading these articles will make in a lifetime.
What the hell is wrong with you? How can you defend them doing that? Listing sites that collect data is a WHOLE LOT DIFFERENT than buying something and having it throw ads at you constantly.
You may call me (and him) paranoid, but I call you ignorant.
You have to be joking. Anybody couldve shined a laser at a plane. Is that the "means" youre looking for? Should we just remove everyone from society because they COULD do something dangerous?
That NX has ALWAYS been around. It used to be enforced and used a long, long time ago...processors stopped respoding to it, so people got lazy and coded. It doesnt "break" anything anymore than Mozilla breaks badly coded CSS pages. You people who are saying that it causes more problems are completly ignoring the REAL problem, and that is substandard coders and code!
The AMD NX feature is a long, long overdue feature that processors have been missing for quite some time, and it can prevent a LOT of misuse. I admit that AMD has made it seem like its an end-all to viruses, but trying to explain it to non-technical people isn't a simple thing.
That's like saying "Macs suck, I used an LCII and it was total crap". Remember, one of the many reasons PCs are superior to Mac, is that you don't have the nice fascist system of a single manufacturer.
Good job. Now try using a real PC, and report back.
Are you joking? You have to be joking. I pray you're joking. Normal PCs are as quiet as Macs, if youve only used systems set up by idiots, then thats what you'll get, an idiot's system.
I have heard good things about Hush, never owned one (haven't updated for a while). Mouse and keyboard, well, I use a freebie Compaq keyboard with integrated smartcard reader, it is absolutly solid, I feel like I could beat a football team to death with it and it wouldn't even notice. My mouse is a Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, I've used this for a few years and have put it through constant running and near constant hardcore gaming (and I do have a temper) and it's held up on me. The other kind of mouse I'd recommend is a Logitech MX510. Don't even bother with wireless mice, they're a waste of money, and they DO have a delay.
I'm right there with you, but I dont even bother with it once a month. Basically I do it when I think I MIGHT have been compromised, but since I use Firefox to browse, that's hardly ever. Even when I used IE (back in the dark ages) I never had a problem. I don't run active spyware except for TeaTimer, and that's only to control what starts up and what doesn't (and that's all its caught so far, registry entries for startup). I use antivirus.com when I want to give my computer something to do; it never finds anything. Basically I am astounded that people do such stupid things to get viruses, and then blame the OS: it's clearly user error.
I "like" windows, enough to use Firefox for my browser and a heavily stripped-down Litestep for shell. But hey, I still use Windows Explorer as a file manager!
that PocketPC has outsold Palm. It may be made by microsoft, it may have its problems (connectivity is still stuck in the dialup state of mind, etc), but a PPC kicks the CRAP out of anything palm.
Also ironic is the fact that Dell makes the best ones. They suck at computers, they really need to focus on consumer electronics.

Oh, Opera. Its like someone took a shit in Firefox's code, added tons of "features" nobody uses, and charges for it.

No need to support the conservatives, they're way ahead of you.

not very familiar with a FIREWALL? I've never had that problem before.
That's it, time for mob rule. Someone get the rope, I'll gather torches, we also should get some pitchforks. Gonna lynch us a spammer.
THAT'S your defense?
hello and welcome to 5 years ago
The repetitiveness of physics sucks. I cant think of anyone who likes it. No wonder it has a bad rap.
Physics is trash anyway, it changes every 100 years. Chemistry, now thats where all the cool cats hang.
Good thing companies like Apple dont do that!

Damn, I must be tired, I completly read over the part where it says he was intentionally trying to blind them.

koolance is ricey crap and is the bane of every real modder. it cheapens the art.

Is you have to convert into sony's crappy format; hence the long transfer times
Sony's formats suck and they have yet to realize that (see: memory stick)

An $80 GPS + software set?
