Why not just put the same hardware technology a pager uses INSIDE the phone? I'm sure Apple or Samsung could easily incorporate Pager radio silicon in their phones.
Can you share any screenshots of the connection interface? Are you already using this on your Chromebook? Does it support persistent connections? (ie: making a network share and having it re-connect after a shutdown/reboot)...?
Commercial landscaper here...
Companies/people using leaf blowers are wasting everyone's time and money. Period. Blowing around leaves that you can easily rake up is simply an idiotic, colossal waste of energy, and quite frankly a pain in the (r)ear, and as multiple posters pointed out, disturbs your thought process with the loudness. The crew using leaf blowers instead of rakes or brooms is quite ridiculous! Every time I see a crew blowing around leaves instead of taking the time to rake them up, it simply makes me laugh! Fools.
Could they have picked a worse spokesperson? His English was barely intelligible with such a heavy French accent. Why did we need him to even speak when Jonathan from the IKEA Foundation did such a fine job at explaining everything?
Thanks for your vote of confidence.:D
The video reminds me of the low quality tv commercials back in the day that would extol the virtues of 'next generation' tv's, which then induces forehead slapping moments of brevity.:D
But seriously, I digress. There are many choices to show high quality demonstrations of next generation technology, such as posting it on YouTube, Vimeo or the like. This seems like some kids school handycam video, badly edited, with no presentation skills whatsoever. Ever hear of smooth transition effects in a modern video editor? Apparently not.
And how about actual side by side comparisons instead of fading in and out and then showing different angles. Retarded. Someone better be scolded over this video, because its actually rather embarrassing to say the least.
Why not? Its not like I'm running Winblows. Pretty strange comment of yours considering the/. crowd mostly run Linux/BSD...
Unless you -enjoy- having your hand held for everything...
I (like many I'm sure) are sick of this fucking paywall so using this RSS feed in your favorite reader (I use Google Reader) allows you to read the content without having to pay them.
"Teachers cannot establish, maintain, or use a work-related website unless it is available to school administrators and the child’s legal custodian, physical custodian, or legal guardian. Teachers also cannot have a nonwork-related website that allows exclusive access with a current or former student."
As far as my understanding of (for example lets use Facebook.com) a social site, there is the option of non-exclusive access available by its users; the entire internet-enabled world can read, view and even interact with the page, thus not being limited to any sort of exclusivity paradigm. The mere fact that a website allows exclusive access is akin to saying that a classroom allows a teacher and student to remain in it after the rest of the class has left. Should a teacher be fired for talking one on one with a student? What about if they met at a cafe, library, or other non-school, open and/or public facility/location to discuss life, the universe and fish? Etc.
This ruling is tantamount to stripping away their right to free assembly, freedom of speech and freedom of relations. Trying to micro-manage how a teacher teaches and lives their lives, and also managing the lives of the innocent seems very very wrong here.

There's a scary thought for the future. Bored fat kids sitting around in VR watching cat meme videos from imgur.
Seems an opportunity for Linux developers to write for older controllers, no?
Fuck off, AVG.
Since the article has a broken link to Google's page, here is where Google actually makes this claim: https://sites.google.com/a/chr...
What you're describing is called a Missile.

There are virtual keyboards on tablets.
Wind Blows.
My current iMac has 32GB of RAM, so I don't see it as being too far fetched.

Learn to read. He said 'violent or adult oriented' ... Half of his supposition would be games like Resident Evil, which runs on X-Box, PS3 and more...
Fuck you, troll!
Are you saying Eve Online is not a suitable game for Nerds?

Whats up with the 1990's 640 x 360 video resolution? This is 2013 for fucks sake. Also, tripods exist.
Prove it?

Lets break this down (emphasis mine):
"Teachers cannot establish, maintain, or use a work-related website unless it is available to school administrators and the child’s legal custodian, physical custodian, or legal guardian.
