Schwarzeneggerian repertoire of narrow-eyed stares and clunky one liners and explosion after explosion
This is exactly what I want to see when I go to a movie like this. A lot of testosterone based action! Anyone looking for some sort of deep statement regarding the "post-9/11" world is looking in the wrong place.
Ever hear of the difference between "film" and "movie" katz?
A quote, forget from whom, but seems poignantly relevant: The easiest way to get shot is to carry a gun.
I believe it was Atticus Finch, in To Kill a Mockingbird... 'course with that book being banned in so many places, I wouldn't expect everyone to know that...
The big hold up still is with bandwidth and availability. It's possible to obtain some of the more popular series with Kazaa/WinMx/whatever, but really, there is some serious downfalls when compared to napster. The filesize still makes it difficult to get more than a few episodes a night. And given the proliferation of pr0n and misnamed files on those networks, and the incredible amount of time it takes to obtain any files, I think it'd be easier to just watch TV.
Besides, if there's anything worth keeping on television (arguable) there's always the good ol' VCR.
I would assume they mean "generic" as opposed to Dell or Compaq computers actually.
try another approach....

You pay, let's say, 50 bucks for a game in a store, or download it online for 50 bucks, and it comes with a year's worth of online playing, and another year would run, say, 25 bucks or something.
Of course a decent authenitcation scheme would be needed I suppose...
"At the moment we are trying to reason with people rather than sue them."
This seems like a groundbreaking approach to things, especially in today's world. Phillips seems to be a pretty cool company, first by making CD copying home audio equipment, and now stickin' it to the record industry!
Talk about thinking differently... I only fear that reason will not work with the record industry.
Keep in mind too that the google tools are, AFAIK, still in BETA, as it says in the top page of the frame... if it's as good as the fish, while in beta, perhaps they will surpass the fish...
"However, it would be totally irresponsible to say what it was before we have evidence."
Oh how very true... let's just wait this one out folks and save the speculation for those who can do it best... oh wait a minute.. nevermind, we're already here...
Michael A. Caplinger, a scientist with Malin Space Science Systems, said that if the rate of carbon dioxide erosion from the Mars poles continues for thousands of years, ``then it could profoundly amend the climate of Mars.''
Since it's going to take thousands of years, perhaps we could do something to help the process along a bit? Maybe send a few SUVs over or something?
I suppose it is a bit ambitious however...
But if your a real die-hard, you can download a few MPEG episodes Here [palmy.net.nz] at around 220 meg per episode (also 56k'er versions available for the bandwidth impaired)
You just trying to get that site slashdotted?!
Have you no mercy? The man is giving away episodes! Show some pity...
Basically it points to a page, which is just a redirector page. Now this sort of traps the user because if you hit back once, it just ends up sending the visitor back to the page. I find this annoying, but to the average surfer, I suppose it could get frustrating. I think this is really sleazy...
I see no need for ratings, simply just look at the games you are purchasing your son. Obviously you can tell the difference between a violent game and a non violent game simply by picking up the game and reading it's back. Use common sense, it's not that difficult. I still don't see the need to waste taxpayers money on paying someone to sit around and play games and decided whether they are violent or not.

Is this enought time? And is this all code?
however, as mentioned, there are cards available to do what you want

Hey, with one of these, I could read /. at -1 again, and not worry about the page widening posts!

Cyber should be spelled with an C, not an X... the company should change their name... Xybernaut... sounds pretty moronic...

Either that, or we need to stop thinking of Web polls as reliable.
Nobody should have started thinking that in the first place.
Did you really think that was witty when you typed it?
Never seen seinfled eh? I won't bother explaining the episode to you then...

Let the slashdotting begin!

Can anyone say Jar Jar? I mean he's no celeberity, but he sure as hell is annoying. If this is how CG celebs are gonna be, give me the real thing!
Actually, Molson has just announced the newest addition to their line-up: Molson Back Bacon Beer. Now you can your bacon, and drink it too!

Ya, for sure. Far and few between are people who can admit they are wrong!

Get insurance! Moron...
But try writing glass on the packages. We were told that they don't send them down the conveyors... but that could also just be a targetting thing
