WalMart puts a lot of price pressure on their suppliers. Even if the same box purchased elsewhere is acceptable I would expect the ones sold through WalMart to be lower quality.
No surprise here. If you're a programmer in the KC area you will be working with ex Cerner people all the time. With a lot of them if you say "Cerner" be prepared for a 20 minute rant. I always let them rant. It's amusing for me and therapeutic for them.
If you work in IT in the Kansas City area it's pretty much given you'll have at least one ex Cerner co-worker. I've heard the same stories over and over about backstabbing politics and death march development cycles. There are supposed to be a couple of good departments to work for but it's pretty much a sweat shop other then that.
What puzzles me is that this moronic buffoon still has his law license. With his track record for groundless lawsuits and general media whoring you would think he would have been disbarred by now.
Now that the boards are offline for a while maybe some of the posters will start taking their medication. The Yahoo message boards attracted the crazies like a 100W bulb attracts bugs.
Yup, I'm one of those. I've got apena somewhere between moderate and severe which is sleeping about 10 minutes at a time. Before I got my CPAP I would sometimes pass out right after getting up and every day was a struggle just to stay awake.
I thought that they had given up on the GPS idea because it cost too much and consumed too much power. Besides, if you want GPS some phones (my BlackBerry Pearl for one) can use a external Bluetooth GPS.
People and their wimpy hypoallergenic cats. Me, I have giant (12-17 lb) hair and dander machines. Give them a good brushing and you've got enough hair to knit another big cat.

The tanks they use for compressed air are the same ones used for LP gas in vehicles. Why someone would think air would be more dangerous is beyond me.
Here is a nice overview of compressed air cars. They are going into production soon.

Cerner?!?
The company that issued this?

I use the speech recognition on my BlackBerry Perl^H^Hrl^H^Harl all the time and it's "good enough".
Hey, don't forget Sprint! They've got the ugliest corporate campus in the US here in Overland Park.
I'll bet it will run Vim

I guess that's why Fark has a "Florida" tag.
The article is from Reuters. For tech and especially video game reporters "asshat" and "clueless" are part of the job description.
I've gotta change the font in my RSS widget I almost missed an important technological milestone.
Although, a bear tossing fridge would be good for protecting food from Yogi and BooBoo.

You too? The first game we played on the Wii was Bowling and she trounced me. I think the Wii controller is more intuitive for non gamers then gamers.

The BlackBerry Pearl maps app supports Bluetooth.
Now I need a Bluetooth GPS.

My current favorite is UT2004 Invasion with the RPG mutator. ahref=http://mysterial.linuxgangster.org/UTRPG/rel =url2html-31693http://mysterial.linuxgangster.org/ UTRPG/>
Wouldn't that be the 'Y' prize? They had better make it take a while. There's only one left.
With this story you should be thankful for that.
Is there a competition between Sony and Nintendo to make the worst name for game console hardware? First Wii now Sixaxis.
Microsoft should stay out of this one.
Since Viaos are often broken does it matter?

These 2 are super frendly and leave you covered with a thick layer of hair after a few minutes of petting. If you are allergic these pictures could make you sneeze.

I think we can safely categorize lutefisk as a WMD.
A friend of mine in high school had a Norwegian grandfather. His mother made lutefisk for him one christmas and their cat hid for days.
Have you seen some of those users? You'd need a forklift not just a fat little penguin.
BTW that was a joke. It may not be the best one but still a joke nonetheless.
