  1. Its all about the games on Revolution Horsepower Revealed · · Score: 2, Interesting

I am a games player I like to play games, and thats how I choose whether I buy a console, I have what I call my 3 game rule, if there are 3 games on a console I want to play then I buy it, its that simple. Its not about the MHz value or MBs value its all about the games. Nintendo sees that and I think alot of other games players do also. Its going to be intresting to see how it all pans out.

So I call them "skoh" :D

W.A.V.E joins new sofware "security" programs like Mosaic 2000, which is being tested in public schools in America to compile and computerize information on students believed to be dangerous or potentially violent.

I wonder what DB they will use to store this info. Most likely M$ sql server with default settings, allowing world readable and writable permissions :)

I can see it know 'I don't like that bloke lets tag him as dangerous and potentially violent'.

    Hmmm

Well this is most definitely not the way to do it. It won't matter to warez crackers, they will just crack the software to disable the programs remote disabling feature. So if you don't want your software disabled you will need the warez copy/patch.

I agree that the warez kiddies/crackers need to be stopped but this just is not going to do it. It will just encourage them.

    Cheers

  6. Re:No more per-minute charges on UK to finally get broadband access · · Score: 1

No, you would probably get hauled up into court but as long as don't have any equipment for decoding TV signals you would stand a good chance at winning. Since the whole EM law thing is based on your ablity to decode signals. Note I said decode, not detect or pickup. So owning an arial is also ok as long as you can't decode the signal.

Police radar also comes under the same law, that is why police radar scaners are legal much to the annoyance of the police. Since they only detect the radar and not decode it. I know a few people who got done for having them and got off on this technicality.

  7. Re:No more per-minute charges on UK to finally get broadband access · · Score: 1

Almost, it is actually based on you ablity to decode that part of the EM band, ie any device with a tv tuner in it.

That includes Videos (VCRs), TVs and TV tuner cards for PCs.
