I'm with Apple with the slide-to-unlock idea. AFAIK I never saw that before.
For the "quick link" patent, that seems insane to me. The patent should never have been awarded in the first place, it's something that's obvious to anyone who has learned HTML.
Make guns illegal? Make religions illegal? Make religious group gatherings and/or buildings illegal? Force people to believe in imaginary beings?
There's crazies on both sides and we haven't heard the story of the shooter here, maybe he was being constantly attacked by the crazy religious people in that town.
I buy music from iTunes, burn it to CD, rip it to MP3, 3D-print a record with nylon filament, scan the 3D print at 1200dpi, fax the scan to myself, save it in JPEG at 20% quality, use software to reconstruct the audio and record the end result to cassette tape.
This is what Apple should be using in future Macs. Maybe they knew of Intel plans, that's why the MacBook Air and Mac mini haven't really been updated in such a long time. It's the two Macs that will have this new CPU first.
Then the answer is clear: become overweight, so you'll need to buy bigger shirts and bigger pants which have bigger pockets.
Because it's more profitable for Samsung to do so?

Damn fools! Why can't they learn! Never make anything rouge! Use vert or bleu instead!

If their DNS isn't working, telling them to use "OpenDNS" won't be of much help.

Everybody has his/her own reasons to do things. I'm not saying they're right or even justified.
Don't take it the right way, but you sound like an angry GLaDOS.
Ain't that the truth. I'm still dealing with that damn Blaster Worm.
So what would you want people to do about it?
Make guns illegal?
Make religions illegal?
Make religious group gatherings and/or buildings illegal?
Force people to believe in imaginary beings?

With this new technology announced less than two weeks ago?
I think it will be Mac-only like, at least at the beginning.

Dark Helmet: I am your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate.
Lone Star: So what does that make us?
Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing.
Ah! Directional cables. I can see it now... Presenting the new Monster Cable unidirectional audio cables, with "built-in 0.7V softener".
I got a free nVidia GTX 650 that was headed for the scrapyard. Runs my games at 30+ FPS just fine.
And why do you think I chose these examples?
It's because while Intel+AMD sounds weird today, the examples I mentioned are true today but sounded just as weird two decades ago.
It would also explain why Tim Cook is so focused on the iPhone and iPad while almost dismissing the Macs.
If the future is an iPad that runs macOS and is as powerful as a MacBook/Air/Pro, I can see the point.
When a laptop is crap, you don't blame Intel, you blame the crap company that made your crappy laptop.
Maybe you just bought a 7970 from a crappy company.
What's next? Sonic on Nintendo consoles? Square-Enix games on computers?
Shit, you're right. It should have been:

I'm waiting for music released as Nintendo Game Boy carts.
Replace a $1 part every 15 years? Are you insane? That's almost seven cents per year! We're not all made of money!
I only got the "leaves cassette fans reeling" part.
