I agree with you 100%, this kind of crap is totally insane. Just like "smart assistants", people will pay to get themselves tracked by the government, hackers and other nefarious groups.
What we need is transparent displays inside the rear windows of cars and trucks, to display scrolling messages, short animations and videos to annoy the people following us and to prevent us to clearly see what's happening in our rear-view mirrors.
Berkeley's two-armed robot, seen in this video clip [GIF file]...
GIF was NEVER meant to be used for videos and whoever made this should never be allowed near a web server or code editor ever again for the rest of his life.
What's next? A spreadsheet with background coloured 1x1 pixel cells instead of using JPEG to display a photo? A high-resolution PNG of a waveform instead of using MP3?
Here's the thing, though. Since they already have the "take screenshot and upload it on a dedicated server" code in place, all they need is to ask the user when taking a screenshot:
"Do you want to save this screenshot locally on your device (default choice) or upload it to the Mozilla servers?"
Didn't we see numbers a few years back, about how financing their own movies and shows was actually cheaper than paying up Hollywood to rent their movies and shows?
There's also the bonus that if Netflix plays their cards right with the lawyers and the financing, it means they will never have to remove their own shows from their own librairies.
Funny how the definition of "medium sized SD card" changes with each passing year.
I propose "patchdriving".
Then proceeds to only list a few devices using that chipset, not a complete list.
What the fuck are we supposed to do with this information?

It's confusing, especially because of the rise of the "Dark mode GUI" thing that's been going on for the last few years.
There won't be any problems if you know where your towel is.

The joke is that if that was the new fad, you'd still find morans who can't even listen to their own bodies and would starve themselves anyway.
I follow this new fad called "I only eat when I'm hungry".
I got to tell you, so far it's really going greaH&goyLUKHgZZZzzzz....
I don't know, that's why I'm asking!!!1
Really? A Windows leak site closing down is a loss?
Even if Microsoft themselves closed shop tomorrow I wouldn't see it as a loss.

This one simple trick will stop headline writers in their tracks!
What's sad is this is probably how a lot of cable/satellite execs actually think.
Travelers and Salvation are also good, although they're not Netflix exclusives AFAIK.
Who the fuck started this madness? You don't go "to B from A", you go "from A to B".
I'm guessing porn.com could do that.
There's 71 comments so far and not one Ian Malcolm quote...
1. Life uh.... finds a way.
2. Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
Americans have been using 60-years-old as teenagers in sitcoms for decades, so it's not really going to change anything.

Add an "s" to the end of that and you've got yourself a sale, mister!
That's the idiotic, "first-graders" part.
You do realize that this only reinforces my "USA is a first-world country with a third-world country political system" point of view, right?
