I'd like to just point out that the whole issue - the RIAA, the intellectual property jazz, and whatnot - is nearly moot. It's not illegal (yet!) to learn to SING. Go find an old guitar and teach yourself some chords! Why does everybody assume music has to be made by mere paid troubadors?!
Well, yes and no. This may be a harsh assessment, but it is only natural for Copyright Holders to
want their heirs to not work so hard.
Doesn't build character, however. If this is too "Brave New Worldy", though, yet, early U.S. lawmakers were truly worried about the 'fiction' of coporations having rights.
It's an unnatural, possibly immortal entity. And it can own stuff! Disney owns Pooh!! But Disney's really dead too!
Bring back Alexandar Hamiltonianism!
Cheers! Bah, preview URLS?!
As far as "The Enemy" goes, for most (all) industries, you usually have BOTH an CEO side lobby PAC and a related, mirrorlike, Labor Union PAC as well.
So that should balance out? Eh?
The thing to do is disallow DANGEROUS things like fixed-wing heavier than air industries; and encourage the helium lighter-than-air aircraft industry for a while. But I get the sense you are one of those Green guys, so you think that should happen with everyone being reasonable already...
Refer to the beer, there are folks out there with the last name 'Molson'! http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/index/ date/all/mo lson/ Clearly shows what beer drunkards think of the stuff.
(Personally, I'd get stuff from Stevens Point Wisconsin's Point Brewery - still tasting em and the BOCK was OK) Also, there is some guy named Michael Jackson who drinks beer for a living. A different Jackson, I'm sure.
Now I feel much better for not trolling into alt.magick (They can't SPELL, but they can SPELL!) with an answer along the lines of: Oh! That's easy! I just tap Manticore and avoid your Elvish Prince with my Chaos Orb. If it's a Black Deck, though, I would be using my sleeved Regenerative Whirlwind for +4 Mana if you tap Barren Land!
What's up? Slashdover.net doesn't like a competitor voicing their patented message! Somebody had to get an AnonymousC ready to try to divert discussion with an ad-hominymic first post response post thingie. Eh?
Anyway, if people don't paranoically jump on faint possiblities of editorial erosion, when they finally DO sell out, we can say "Told you so."...

"Getting you closer Experian is an information solutions company. We help organisations to use information to reach new customers and to develop successful and long lasting customer relationships.
We have built our business on the simple premise that commercial success is about getting close to customers. The more an organisation understands them, the more able it is to respond to their very individual needs and circumstances.
This is the approach that we adopt in our own client relationships. It is also the underlying motivation behind everything we do as a company."
Strike me pink if THAT's not a warm and snuggly statement of porpoise!!
And their clients are happy as clams, too. Over a million Frenchpeople are serviced via the tracking on TF1, which I gather is Tee Vee France One.
Also English Banks, and variousBanks, like that they fight fraud!! See, they fight fraud by having a file on everybody, isn't that great?!
Unauthorized use is way, way down! And don't worry your little heads about AUTHORIZED use. It's AUTHORIZED!

Presumably since Tipper Gore has some kind of psychological credentials, she should realize how imporant a sense of privacy is. And how that sense is impinged upon by knowing that you are probably being watched.
So sure, AlGore, if he's listening to the right people has nothing to do with this (?)
As for starting at the top, we've had a little of that already with Bill;-)

You play by some rules, its okay. You skip, not.
The sociological purpose of business concerns gathering themselves into 'companies' is to utilize the strength of numbers, and variable skills of those numbers, and provide shelter if things come along to harm the business. Ahem.
The sociopathical purpose of a chain letter is... obvious.

Hi, well, I guess I didn't install KDE during my First Ever setup. Need I re-install or is it just hidden out of the way of my switchbox thingie? Further Newbie note: They said I can run kppp from GNOME (pronounced G'nome) anyway, will I need to go use Linuxconf or something.
Other than my newbieness-ness, RH60 and GNoME looks ok, of course I'm a techie-newbie, not a total one, so I knew how to mount and things which if I had not known, I would be rilly rilly confused. Had I not known unix already...

What is the point of having a burned-out snarky ex-Rolling stone person who uses the term "button pusher" as a NEGATIVE description when you can't

Now I *have* to go down & check out the Linux Expo thing. I need a Blair Witchy type coffee mug.
Warner Brothers (which signed onto this one) also wants DVD-viewers to go online and download something called "PC Friendly".
Hope this helps!
