  1. It's even worse. They have no insight into retries, hidden nodes, and periodic loads. In an always powered decent radio, you can look at channel utilization to see estimate load levels, but none of this shit is bang on or all that accurate. Since most socs are Qualcomm, hopefully they build in their spectrum analyzer functionality in future chips usually only in their enterprise chipsets. That would allow for a much better representation of better AP selection.

    It needs to be taken up by many universities from many countries. Tons of learning potential and enough volume to catch on.

    Software tools to aid the hardware design. It's still a hardware project, not a software project.

    I think you are mistaken, and old people need to die for metric to come in. I was on vacation and talked with a retired Canadian teacher who complained of having to convert to Celsius system back in the 80's. A motherfucking high school teacher complaining about simple math as too complicated. Made my head nearly explode. Doing simple conversions in my head was like showing magic to someone 2000 years ago. Have you ever met guys in their 50's who never graduated high school but has had labour job for 30 years talk about all their experience like they're irreplaceable?

    In the Vancouver area, I regularly see Asian women with phones the size of their faces. It's kinda comical. They also seem to hold them closer than most people, so you can often see a head with hair and a phone/tablet looking thing for their faces.

    Atmel fucks up their chips regularly, including brown out bugs that last years through multiple designs. Ran into three wtf's when doing stuff with last Atmel project. You have to read forums for solutions and workarounds.

    That's why I did all my IRC'ing from midnight to 4am as a teenager. I was in a shitty time zone. Though, it's probably caused permanent circadian rhythm problems as I'm still going to sleep after 5am.

    I've never owned high end headphones, but the ear cushion material is always the first to go for me, way before battery life issues appear.
