    Because they likely fucked up ripping off a Blackberry feature. If it inserted a period and kept the double space, it would be more efficient under regular use, and auto correct if you miss hitting the period. If it replaces the double space with a period only, that's typical Apple thinking.

    What a shitty provider you have. You could just insert compatible Sim card in Canada and it would just works (if unlocked, of course). I can buy Sim cards from US providers to insert in my phone when travelling that just works. You're doing something wrong.

  13. You remind me of my nephew that doesn't miss a chance to ask a stupid question right after hearing something. And then I'll rant, "What the fuck did I just say? Are you even listening? I just fucking said that, why are you asking me to repeat when you clearly heard and understood me?" He picked up this super annoying thing from my brother. It's like he's taking the thing you do to pretend you're listening to your girlfriend bitch about something while not really listening.

  14. We had taken on a project that another company dropped the ball on. It was designed with a PCB that had a 6- layer and an 8-layer PCB stuck together. It became a production and QA nightmare as it would warp. When they say they are first with this technology, I immediately thought, "Uh oh, they're going to run into so many unexpected issues". I wonder how 20-layers will handle frequent bending and flexing. I assume they've done the drop tests and passed, as well as self interference. So hard to ensure you're not bleeding RF into other parts of the system.

    Qualcomm will be easy to demonstrate that they don't provide good docs to any of their customers. Most of the docs I've seen are marked preliminary or draft and no fucking release version even years after the product comes out. Being made to document your shit for the competition would piss me off and call the lawyers.

    It's inevitable they'll make their own chip. It's stealing their IP and taking away their business that is a real poke in the eye. Helping your customer put yourself out of business is a common thing. Suing them delays the inevitable.

    They can do whatever the fuck they want. Especially if they think they are are part of why they are successful. Microsoft allowed millions to use Windows for cheap and free while charging millions to businesses. It's their right to sell cheaper for market share. Same shit happens with medicine. First world countries pay many, many times more than poor countries. Sounds fucking whiny. Pay up or stop fucking whining.

    No. They said if your device is cheap and low margin, you pay this low fee. If your device is high end, you pay THIS because you have margins. Apple wants the poor people rate. Intel has an inferior product. The customers are the ones getting fucked with an Intel modem in the future.
