# Why haven't you responded to the mail I sent you?
Use the forums. The Thunderbird team reads them regularly. We all get a lot of email and your email may get lost.... apparently the developers don't have very good email clients. They should try Thunderbird - I hear it's pretty good.
Yes - fortunately neither Microsoft nor Epson/HP have any explicit right to reproduce my resume, so I will now go down to my local store and take what is rightfully mine: some new printers and the latest copy of Office.
I have to ask, who the hell runs stable on a desktop - and who would want to?
If you want stability, testing provides plenty of it. If you don't want to update often - just don't update (often). If you really need rock solid core stability, but want newer desktop software - then run stable with apt-pining for testing or unstable, and only install what you know you want from testing/unstable.
If you want a Debian desktop with frequent releases without all this crap, use Ubuntu:P
Stable is supposed to be the rock solid hardware, and the only things that should change should be when there's a bugfix or security fix. The point of it is you can basically rest assured that when running updates, shit won't ever break. I don't mean just "PAM broke!" break, I mean config overwritten, changed options, etc. break. The system for all intents and purposes could be set to automatically grab updates and run for years.
Disclaimer: I've never used Ubuntu, I'm a Debian man who suffers the trials of using apt-pining just like everyone else who wants this should have to!
This screams of the 'professional' gamers who tune all their settings down and just have enemies as big colorful blobs on their screen to get that 296th frame per second.
I daresay your eyes might like a little color workout - or are you doing a scientific study on the retina for burn-in?
How the heck are you guys making a living! You clearly get the opportunity to try a heck of a lot of games, and you spend time drawing your comic - writing your editorials - going to conventions - and drawing more stuff (I've noticed you've drawn comics for a number of games, in addition to the desktops/etc.).
Where's the money coming from, certainly not just web advertisements... If you have professional careers, how has your head not exploded among it all?
Bluetooth certainly could use a boost in speed - but I see some bigger problems that could use addressing:
Cost - bluetooth was supposed to be insanely cheap to add to devices. I first read this claim - um - 5 years ago?
Chatty little bitch - bluetooth is extremely aggressive, and totally pollutes the airwaves when in use. That's all find and dandy considering that it's short range, but it's still not short ENOUGH for the amount of channel saturation that goes on. Try using other wireless technologies nearby bluetooth.
Of course, you're going to run into problems with different wireless technologies using the same spectrum - but bluetooth is *really* aggressive (at least 1.0/1.1) - that could use some work.
Maybe build in logic to only transmit, say, 10% more powerful than it needs to. Might slow down overall performance if things move out of range, but would certainly clean up the airwaves - and save some battery.
stole over 1.7 million credit card numbers as well as a passport-forging facility in Bulgaria
Who allows their Bulgarian passport-forging facility to be stolen? Honestly. One day do you just show up for a nice day of illegal work and poof, building gone! The Bulgarians got whats coming if you ask me.
by "embedded" he doesn't mean "I sleep with it in my bed".
embedded as in any number of devices that are designed for a specific target purpose with just what they need, and nothing they don't. I'm not going to get into any kind of reasonable definition of it - not worth either of our time.
IQ is comparitive to your peers - by definition, on average, childrens IQs are no lower than adults IQs. It's a sliding scale.
Get out on a roadway, and you won't believe me. It's not the adults fault they become bumbling morons who have to drink smoke eat and talk on the phone all while driving.
Am I missing something? list items are supposed to be embedded in some sort of list - if they aren't, the browser should cause the monitor to explode and fragment glass into the eyes of the bastard who's not nesting things properly.
Maybe there's something else I missed - it's early.
motor companies don't make Airbags, ABS, skid control - etc. - true enough.
Microsoft didn't make my cpu.
Microsoft isn't the motor company - they're the dealership who's bringing it all together. Why people must always use the motor as the core part of the vehicle - like the vehicle would be any good without some of its other important parts - wheels, steering column, breaks, hell - gas tank.
I don't want MS to include extra shit on top of things to make things more secure. I want them to stop turning on a billion POSSIBLE conveniences that just keep opening up security holes. They never learned the lesson that a feature unrequested is a feature that should go unimplemented.
I have been pretty happy with directrons selection of compact keyboards. They stopped carrying the WK801 'Zippy' and replaced it with a slightly cheaper (quality) version. These run $15 iirc, and I'd wager you could swing a small discount in volume.
You'll be hard pressed to find low profile keyboards that will last any amount of time for too cheap. IMO if it has to stand up to the publics abuse - you're gunna have to shell out the minimum for quality.
You may also want to look into whether there are other sources for these Zippy keyboards - I highly recommend them.
WK-801 on the bottom, 'Zippy' was a name associated with them - don't see it anywhere on the keyboard. They come in all black and silvery grey - both ps/2 and usb versions (usb has a builtin 2 port hub)
With any luck the phone in your pocket will have a gigabit link by the year 2015.
Yeah, and we'll all be sterile by 2016. Go humans!

You understand the 4.0 grading scale, but you don't understand a percentile scored test?
No wonder you posted anonymously.
Sounds double plus good to me!
(clippy pops up on screen)
It seems like you're trying to transmit something witty. Your grammar is incorrect and the transmission has been denied. Try these substitutes:
1) Sounds doubleplusgood to me!
2) Sounds plusgood to me!
3) Sounds good to me!
4) Proles shouldn't code office assistants, disable clippy.
Yes - fortunately neither Microsoft nor Epson/HP have any explicit right to reproduce my resume, so I will now go down to my local store and take what is rightfully mine: some new printers and the latest copy of Office.
Then it will be my chance to be the clueless boss who assigns impossible projects without any clear objective, reasonable timeline, or decent support.
Sounds great, when are you hiring?

(troll) Is it just corporate knockbacks? (/troll)
Fortunately for you - they already have respectable stores that sell marital aids, that you can safely bring the kids into!

You probably have a brick and mortar nearby - bring the kids in and let them look around!
(may my wife never see this, and if she does - not castrate me for it)
is this: http://www.handhelds.org/
Yes - picking up a cheap used hard drive is definitely the best way to safeguard your important data backups.
Good call.
Sticking his ass in jail just costs us more money (taxpayer dollars).
Make the sentence that he is not allowed to own or operating a personal computer or touch tone telephone until his 18th birthday.

It may reduce the number of guns held by isolated idiots without criminal connections, but they're not a huge danger anyway.
Sure they are - they voted. For Bush.

and the transmission *power* is increased with a larger antennae how?
regardless - still stupid.
Yeah, Sharp USA will toss out the nice clamshell factor entirely, and just slap this 4 gig drive below their atrocious 6000 design.
Yay for Sharp USA.

Isn't OSS emulation an option in the kernel config for ALSA drivers, and hasn't it been for a while now?
I'm too lazy (read: should be working) to go check.
"I just want to watch all 3 back to back like they appeared in the goddamned theatre" edition come out?
That's the one I want. So it doesn't feel like work.
