I think you've missed the point. Bad Things (TM) that happened in another country are unlikely to be relevant. An arc of history that led up today in the USA may still have relevance. I'd agree, though, that moving on and dealing with the causes (mostly poverty and discrimination) would make more sense, even if historical context can be useful sometimes. It's not an issue that can be fixed overnight, though.
Things being more expensive may mean more expensive exports and fewer jobs. Or more automation and no more jobs. It's a complex web of feedbacks and simplistic will not do.
Read the words. The first sentence is not about classical liberalism. You ignored several US opinions about liberalism to make a comment about nationality that is wholly irrelevant. I'm a "liberal" treat have not called you a Nazi and don't believe you are one. It is entirely possible to have a rational debate with some modern liberals just as with some classical liberals you just get called extreme left! I believe though when you say you are a classical liberal, but in the USA, and to some extent in the UK, this is associated with conservatism. I certainly don't see a particular distinction between your views and mainstream conservatism that also values individual liberty. My views fall closer to modern liberalism in many areas, and I value individual freedom and self-reliance, but also recognise value in collective action and social justice that it's unlikely to arise out of a free market. I also recognise that a free market is not always efficient, although technically that is also part of classical liberalism too.
From wikipedia, for convenience:
The view that modern liberalism is a continuation of classical liberalism is not universally shared.[50] James Kurth, Robert E. Lerner, John Micklethwait, Adrian Wooldridge and several other political scholars have argued that classical liberalism still exists today, but in the form of American conservatism.[51] According to Deepak Lal, only in the United States does classical liberalism—through American conservatives—continue to be a significant political force.[
The press reporting of this sort of science makes someone like me with a background in the science cringe on a regular basis. Like percentage accuracy and never a ROC to be seen
I'm baffled that people who scream that correlation is not causation when it goes against their personal bias seem in favour of such confusion when it confirms it
A plastic straw can be used several times, so beats a paper one, but both are likely to only be used once, or even never. It doesn't make much sense to use up valuable oil to make disposable straws.

The danger is it looks like an internal power struggle.

I presume it is a panic that alludes to Tim Brooke-Taylor in The Goodies.

Signals are correlations, not necessarily causal.

That other people did Bad Stuff (TM) doesn't excuse other bad things.
About the only heavily socialist nation left is Cuba.
A more useful analysis would determine if skin colour was the only factor in the difference in rates, or other factors. (Hint: it's other factors)
We're allowed those, just not plastic ones.
You still can. You can even buy them, and all manner of bio material disposable plates on Amazon.

And eventually you return or recycle the excess flatware. Or use paper, etc, which still not be banned
