One thing that has always puzzled me. Why didn't they just call it OS X 10.5 instead of OS X 10.2. People complained because it was just a.1 update, which Apple has rarely charged for. I think simply calling it 10.5 would have placated a lot of people

The two I'll miss the most are the light gun games, and the beat 'em ups. They are right the bouncer was sorta lame. I think the problem was all the FMV sequences that couldn't be easily skipped through. IMO the last good gun game was virtual cop 2 and the last good beat 'em up was die hard trilogy.

Rather than build one from scratch why not simply buy an existing chip manufacturer and start from there?
1) Volume. Sure if they were only going to make 700,000 chips this would be stupid. But China has a population of over 1 billion and most of them don't have access to computers. If china wanted to give all of they're people access to a computer. They would do well to make there own chip. That way they just have to pay the fabrication costs (like 50 a chip).
2) China is a superpower, but they are still dependant on the west for CPU's. If they want to jump start the local CPU market somebody has to get the ball rolling.

A while ago I worked for a now defunct dot-com that dealt in e-mail marketing through opt-ins. When we moved to hosting through verio. They threatened to cut us off even though our mailings were opt-in, and sent from a different (non-verio) location.
Their anti-spam policies were so draconian that we had to move to exodus. When did they become pro-spam?

It's not a "conspiracy theory" it's a fact. After the first bombing the emperor sent a surrender which was miss translated. Doesn't it seem a little convenient that because it was mistranslated they got an even better surrender? Even if it wasn't on purpose it still makes the USA the first country to use WMD on innocent civilian targets.

Driver's licenses are only required to use public roads. If you don't own your vehicle, you may need to agree to insure it, which may require being licensed, but I can't think of a case where the government has the authority to forbid you from owning a car.
