    How about we Prosecute AND Persecute them? :-)

    If they are persecuted for such, and it is proven that their income and fortunes are built on spam/illegal acts, will the state be able to confiscate their house etc and sell them? I really hope so.

    Even better; These guys should be sent to a well known jail in Iraq. :-)

    Real were a few years back revealed to be using spyware.

    Nothing can forgive them for this.

    Thus; real is a spyware company and should be avoided.

    Just because they have supposedly changed their ways, felt that CONSUMERS SHOULD BE RESPECTED since their life in the market depend on them, or become better at hiding their spyware does not make REAL an alternative on the desktop or anywhere anymore.

    Real is just another spyware company and I'll be glad once they are run out of business.

    I like what this university is doing, Offering the students a chance to express their view on the subject, and not be forced to pay lots of money into something they dont want, dont want to use, and will not use, or can not use anyway.

    It kinda looks like "warcraft 3 meets Cartoons meets another camp-the-spawn-level-threadmill-game", but I suppose the beta will be fun, assuming my internet connection gets up and I have been picked.

    Do they send out emails TODAY to the lucky 'winners', or have they been sent out ages ago?

    You cant pin the demise of Black Isle on piracy.

    Poor Management, Xbox, Greed, Suits and Deadlines are probably the more likely reason.

    And maybe because crappy games sell - while stellar games - for a smaller audience - do not sell as much, why should'nt they make a hack'n slash that will sell a million titles, instead of a RPG that will sell 100,000.

    However, do you want to pay money to your ISP so that Celine Dion can get money? (Well, she wont, but say for arguments sake that she did)

    I dont want to pay extra money to my ISP just because some wad somewhere downloads a metallica album, why should I pay money to my ISP for crappy music?

    Compulsory License sounds ok - but it still means you're paying money for a lot of shit you dont want.

    I can pay money directly to the composer when I buy their CD - no need for compulsory license or other crap - and best of all - RIAA/The Enemy/trashy musicians wont get a single $ from me .

    If you're not listening to their music - why should they get money from you?

    Also: This sounds like a legalization of downloading music from the net. After all - you've paid for it.

    Anyway; The ISS and the MIR stations - according to reports sound awfully like the space station in Armageddon (the movie - not the biblical doomsday).

    What I am afraid of is that the ISPs will decide - at a point - that their filtering is soo good you should no longer have the option to opt out.

    THEN it becomes dangerous.

    Yes, allow people to have filtering - but ALWAYS allow them to have the option of opting out.

    Knowing how some of the larger ISPs work I am quite sure that a point will come in time - when filtering will be non-optout-able... and I will loose emails in the process.

    I can do it best myself ;)
