    One of the problems is that it's getting harder to actually see this great movie he made. The closest we have at present is fan-edited preservations.

    I don't know if you have seen anything from this supposed leaked copy of Blu-Ray release, but check YouTube if you haven't and come back here with comments.

    Whats that, you want to know what happens when the caps blow out after 4 years of use? Why, I go buy another $65 motherboard!

    Yes, but what happens to the old motherboard after that? So you now have two motherboards in a period when you only needed one (unless you were planning on upgrading at that time anyway). Unless the caps can be easily replaced (not always the case) you won't be able to donate it to a school or youth centre and have just created more unnecessary toxic waste.

    Where possible, please try to buy right the first time.

    Why do you assume he doesn't? SSL webmail for example is trivial with HTTPS (and yes, you can use self-signed certificates, unless that is you also avoid SSH).

    The stock market of the 1920s was very different from the stock market of today. Back then, the market was infested by greed-crazed slimeballs, get-rich-quick speculators with the ethical standards of tapeworms, who shrieked "buy" and "sell" orders into the telephone with no concern whatsoever for the nation's long-term financial well-being. Whereas today they use computers.

    How will we benefit? You'll be able to run binary-only x86 code on your x64 system. This means Adobe Flash and Skype. Any open source code is fine, because it can be compiled for your own architecture - but for binary-only proprietary software, it may not be available for your architecture.

    This will also make 32-bit mplayer much easier to install on 64-bit machines, which is often needed due to binary-only win32 codecs.
