    thats for sure.. on the highways in CA your either going 0-10mph or 80-100mph (usually 0-10 unless your driving at 1-3am)

    how do you define "infringing" code anyways? Traditional wisdom tells us that if you have a million monkeys with a million computers write a kernel they're going to have some overlapping code.. there are only so many ways to write so many things and even fewer ways to make it optimal so why even worry about it?

    Even if they did come back and found lines 100-200 in some module are similar what can they do to change it? Apart from using a different algorithm if one exists would just changing the code to use different flow control operators be enough.. then the compiler optimizes out whatever extra bs you added to make it look different and then what? Compare the asm output from the compiler for 100 different loop constructs that do the same thing and you may get the SAME EXACT thing.

    What grounds and to what point is any of this SCO crap good for?

    Well if being skinny short and scrawny makes you healthy then you can have it. Yeah theres a lot of obese americans but there are also a lot of BUFF ones. Probably a lot of strong guys make up most of that 127 million "overweight" metric.

    Anyways I live in CA I don't see half the fatsos people in the midwest or east coast probably see. I actually look around and see mostly extremely healthy people that are in great shape.. comparing these people to the avg german or asian person its like yea the american would pummel you you scrawny punk :P

    A couple things about americans.
    We're BIG. that means one of two things.. a) lard ass or b) able to snap your puney leg with his forearms.

    I think americans are generally more healthy then the skinny whine drinking smoking shorties in most other countries.. but anyways my point is you should probably focus your anti-fatso sentiments more directly on fatsos and not so much on americans

    I think the only way this would work is if all true "hackers" were to be inherently HUGE due to genetic testosterone inbalance and then we all decide to beat the living shit out of any non hacker that calls us a hacker. we can call each other hackers all we want tho.. thats cool.

    for the record, this particular exploit doesn't crash IE. it silently slips an executable somewhere on my hd and then runs it. I had no idea I'd been hacked (was actually still looking at the cartoon that had loaded up in my browser) when the program that had been ran on my computer spiked my cpu as it was taking a screen shot (which I noticed a flicker as well prompting me to open task manager and start snooping)

    I think with "hacker" it is the first time in history that in less than 5 years a word has gone from being something good to something bad (on relatively opposites sides of the scale).

    I blame this on ignorance in the media. Anybody saying get over it probably has never earned the title only to see its meaning do a 180 on you.

    Over a few generations yea sure being gay used to mean you were happy. But the rate at which being a hacker went to shit has got to be a record breaker

    and the point is that there are still victims before it became a RAMPANT PROBLEM. Usually a smaller number of victims but also usually the typical individual damage is much much greater (case in point, valve).

    I am really astonished that you people think exploits are something microsoft releases along with a patch.. hello???

    There is no link because like I said its not very well known.. and I'm not about to post a link to my friend's server HERE, but if you want to refuse to believe that there could possibly be another (*gasp*) exploit in windows .. well be my guest.

    The point, however, is that exploits exist before some script kiddie downloads the howto kit and makes a viral mailer that clogs up the internet with a love letter to his mom. They'r used by more experienced hackers to gain access to information before they trickle downto the kiddies that like to inflict damage on as many computers as possible for some reason.

    The whole "its your own damn fault for not downloading the patch" is hard to say when there is no patch... and actually shit, why am I having to explain this? This has been around for decades.. security holes let the bad guys in. Its called a patch because it patches the hole.. common fucking sense right? RIGHT?

    strong typing, consistent syntax, specific to borland (I'm not talking about old school pascal here, but) BASM really makes meshing asm and pascal easy and consistent.

    C# is basically pascal with curly braces instead of begin/end (along with all the ++=/-=**%^ inconsistencies that make it suck). I work in C# and obj pascal everyday (obj. pascal for optimization critical code, c# for high level BS) and I prefer obj pascal over C# or C++. Aside from java, I don't have experience with those "other" languages mainly because I develope for windows and unix (where do all these froto,grox,dipschil,etc languages come from anyways???)
