And where does that revenue stream come from? The end users. Which are being sued. Therefore, Microsoft will protect the end users, because they are it's one and only revenue stream.

The big problem many places is not the copper wire, but the copper/fiber junction. Many boxes have filters that only pass a small band. In our neighborhood we're only a mile away from the fiber junction, but we only get 26.6 K, if that.

If you can't legislate morality, what do you legislate? Take murder for example. A law that condemns murder and provides penalties for murderers is definately legislating morality. This sort of law is necessary for human existance. Without laws that legislate morality, all civilization and society would crumble into anarchy.

How do you get less 'government mandating morallity' and more personal responsibility? I understand that these days it would be nice if people would take responsibility for their actions, but individual decisions won't fix the problem. One of government's responsibilities is mandating morality. Take murder for example (an extreme one, granted, but it makes the point simple). Without a government mandate of the morality of this act, and the punishment for it, people will do whatever they feel like. You can't really get more personal reponsibility without more government mandates of morality. Someone has to hold people responsible...

Not really. They are actually receiving some of the money they paid into the system. Same thing with Social Security. For example, my grandfather paid hundreds of thousands into Social Security, but is now getting a measly check of ~$200/mo! The govt is ripping off hardworking taxpayers.
