Same here. I lost my mother AND grandmother to a drunk driver that cross the center line when I was 7 years old. I kept hoping that she had gone home, but the fact that she left her kids behind was more than just a little suspect.:(
First you go get a gun, then you run around shooting complete strangers (don't worry - they'll respawn eventually), and make your way toward any glowing switches you happen to find. For no apparent reason, this will advance you toward your goal of getting your computer back.
OH! Don't forget to find a good spot to spawn camp to get your frag numbers up! I hear the nursery ward at the hospital tends to be a good camping spot...
My experience has been that distcc works with very few packages - almost nothing is made with distributed compilation in mind.

I have a motorola canopy 20Mbit backhaul that I just recently took out of commission. Find the nearest neighbor that *can* get better service, and point the canopy radios at each other. If they're within 2 miles, you just have a 6"x3"x.5" piece of white plastic, outside of 2 miles, and you have to use a reflector that looks like a DirecTV dish. Hook the DSL or cable up at hte other end, and these act as an ethernet bridge. Wire up everything like you normally would at hte other side. Done.
I was wondering why no one picked up on that. When I was reading, I took it as a bitter reporter that wanted an interview, got turned down, so they (the reporter) place all of the personal details available in the article itself as retribution. Not just poor journalism - very unprofessional, childish....looking for another term, but it gets away from me...
So...it never states if you can format this drive with the filesystem of your choice and use it. It is critical that whatever drive I use be usable on pretty much any OS. I am constantly switching between FreeBSD, Linux, OSX, and occassionally Windows.
Everyone's focused on GTA. How is everyone overlooking the fact that TT owns Visual Concepts - ie, the 2K Sports franchises? They would eliminate the only real competition they have in that arena, and Madden will continue to be the "best" football game out there.
You do understand that there may very well be serious ramifications to creating a chimera, right? Sure, they won't let one grow full term, and even if they did it likely wouldn't survive. Fine.
What if? How would people react if one of these scientists allowed a chimera to be born?

Fine, fix the vulnerabilities, but tell me this - why are they setting it up so that Applications that live in, well/Applications don't just appear on the Springboard (the "Desktop", if you will) automatically like they did at one point? Why set it up that every time you upgrade, only certain applications appear, and forcibly remove the rest from appearing?
They could fix the flaws without breaking third pary applications just fine, in fact however, they go well out of their way to make sure the third party applications "disappear" each time.

Okay, my bad. It came from webshite.net's homepage. Very bottom of the page's sourcecode. I did some googling, and it's VERY likely that they don't even know it's there. It's some sort of weird cross-site scripting hack. What precisely it does I don't know, but it at least looks nasty. With that level of obfuscation, they went to a whole lot of trouble to hide what it was doing.
I was wondering why audio was overlaying what I was listening to in the Nickelback demo. So I went digging. There's javascript wrapped in a try/catch statement at the body that is heavily obfuscated. I cleaned it up some (long strings ommitted, thanks lameness filter!):
<script type="text/javascript"> onload=function(){
var guF='really long string, ommitted because of lameness filter',
BCQ=guF.substr(2,1),// BCQ is everything to the right of the second P in guF. Used as a separator.

Uh...you modded this flamebait? The parent is about as correct as correct gets. You feel it is appropriate to cast a person into financial ruin over what amounts to ~3*24MB of data? We'll call it 100MB for grins.
Financial ruin for the rest of your days over 100MB. Fair? Not even close. $222,000. $2220/MB. Those had best have been some seriously good songs to be worth $6-7000 per song.
The RIAA has been playing an extortion game all along. The settlement was probably not fair either, and anyone in their right minds knows that. No, what needs to happen is a large-scale act of civil disobedience (and in reality, that's already happening) and whether or not this one person gets things set straight or not could very well set the course for how this all plays out here in the US. I don't necessarily buy into the poster-child image, but anyone that the RIAA has come after for downloading can wear the title of "victim" and be correct in doing so IMHO. If you're not pressing CD's or running a large-scale piracy ring, they have no business coming after you. I don't care WHAT the law says. I wish I had the magic wand that fixed the fact that they aren, but I don't.:(
