I seem to remember hearing that very little power is generated by the legs, with the exception of when they are used in conjunction with the rest of the body in a dolphin kick style. That's (one reason) why you don't see short stocky swimmers; because wingspan is much more important. Kicking is basically just used to keep the lower half of the body aloft.

Attack their products, not the people who make them, and when you do attack their products you should be able to back it up.

ie. Disparaging Google as using "antiquated" word searches when you can't even do that much yourself is disingenuous.

I'm not suggesting that the usability of computers cannot be improved; far from it. But just as some people are simply very bad drivers, some people will not be able to use some programs because they don't have the training, they aren't willing to practice, or they just don't "get it". Trying to cater to these people by writing programs that a 5-year-old could use probably results in programs that only a 5-year-old would want to use.

Blaming parents for child behaviour is sometimes as stupid as blaming video games for child behaviour, because this guy was 16 or 17 years old when he committed this crime. Until we see evidence that the parents were somehow negligent then I suggest we consider that the child is at fault. After all, at 16-17 years old I was pretty damn sure that shooting people was a bad idea.

The iPod is more popular because it was the first out of the gate, had far more storage than the Flash memory offerings, looked/looks better than any other product available today and is far more simple to use than Creative's or anyone else's device. (iTunes is easy, scroll wheel is a godsend) The last one is particularly important, considering that many/most people are barely computer-literate and are rather frightened of technology.

Marketing and envious, keeping-up-with-the-Jones buying has certainly put the iPod where it is today. But the initial and ongoing popularity is because it is simply the best product available. The Creative product IS good, but the iPod is better.

There is a gap between the laser and the fibre-optic cable, and you can actually resolve each pulse with both your eyes and ears. Rhodopsin responds to light by photoisomerizing and then reverting back in femtoseconds.

Multiplayer fixes? The game has been out for about 45 days. Relax.

As far as your commentary on the single player, I spent far too much time listening to other people about the abruptness of the ending, and found myself expecting the game to end for about 6 straight levels. I think that you are suffering from the same problem.

Why does there NEED to be Earth levels? More specifically, why would that make or break the game? Just because you wanted the conflict to take place on Earth does not make the game bad. Why is playing as another well-developed, interesting character who functions in exactly the same manner as the Spartan, except with an AWESOME NINJA CLOAK capability with STEALTHY INSTANT KILL LASER NINJA SWORDS a bad thing? Why do you think that the ending of the game was bad? I believe that you went into this game with the expectation that it was going to be bad and were not going to be happy with anything else, and as far as I am concerned, you received the product that you deserve.

I see the game as a minor improvement on the previously fantastic game, with the IMPROVEMENTS (emphasis important here) being in character depth, weapon choice, dual wielding, opponent variety and intelligence, and vehicle use/hijacking.

If in 2 months the glitches have not been resolved then I will side with you in the multiplayer gripes. In the meantime, until you can explicitly explain to my why the single player campaign is not good I will have to chalk up your "Insightful" rating to typical fanboy bullshit.
