What is this obsession with duel booting? It's all very well being able to access your Windows data while running Linux, and your Linux data while running Windows, but then you need to run something VMWare-ish to process your data with the application you really need from the other OS.
Frankly, I'm impressed you even clicked on the link.
Everyone has to click on each link at least once, otherwise getting slashdotted would akin to a light tickle.
Sure the/. effect makes BitTorrent the instant gratification option? Or, judging from the low number of comments, nobody really cares so HTTP will be quicker.
Oh, you can't have them in DC. I see. No more taking pot shots at The White House. How long before they stop and search everyone entering the district?
As for movies and games, I was more thinking about DVD retail and rentals. Is that self policing too? (I have no idea how it is here the UK for either movies or games)
If it is so easy for DCians to buy firearms next door then "All handgun laws have done in DC is to keep law-abiding citzens from owning them" doesn't really hold water. Have many law-abiding citizens complained about the trek to Maryland or Virginia to get a gun?
Anyway, back on topic, if movies have age based viewing restrictions, why not video games?
Because there are many other articles on the web covering the same story. Plus, some of us are old enough to remember both 1978 and 1988 - and the big fuss over carbon dating the shroud was in 1988.
The reliability of apps written in VB has nothing to do with the language
Yes, it does. In VB6 one's program can quit very suddenly with "Run time error 6 - file not found". No clue is given to the name of the file not found and no recompense is offered. To avoid this every function needs "on error goto" to trap all errors just incase.
Ah, but the advantage of using flash at night (without a window in the way) is that it keeps the exposure short enough to reduce camera shake, objects moving, bluring etc. It's a choice between mostly black pictures, or mostly light blury pictures. Or use film suitable for low light (ISO 6400 or greater would be a good start).
How important is the sound quality when you've got ALL THAT ROAD AND AIR NOISE! At least some of the higher end cars turn the volume down for you when the car stops.
Well, if it's face recognition, surely only 1 image per face is required. So if there is 1 face per second, you have an instant saving of 30:1 over 30fps.
I am not an up-time junky, but rebooting is a serious break in multi-tasking and continuity. That is my problem with duel booting.

Or just get a 2nd PC and network them.
Cake? Or DEATH?
Who said anything about IIS or Apache? Plenty of other holes in Windows (and in users of Windows) for spammers.

My lynx kept complaining about the SSL certificate. Hmm.
SSL error:Can't find common name in certificate-Continue? (y)
Lynx Version 2.8.5rel.1 (04 Feb 2004)
libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, GNUTLS 1.0.16
Tracker nuked too.
My hard drives are in hot swap RAID cages. Fairly proprietary, but very, very useful.

Even some of the cheapest cameras let you turn the flash off again. I blaim the user for not choosing the right camera and film for the conditions.

Funny - my preferences continue to remain un-ticked.

It is designed for an office environment, and, by rating tracks, the random play will tend towards tracks liked by people logged in.
