My what a predictable and insipid retort to my witty retort. You're such a tool, you know that?
If you want to sit there and do nothing that amounts to more than piddling with an operating system, then be my guest. Meanwhile, the rest of the real world will be getting things done.
Jeez, even Linus Torvalds himself wasted his time to create a system that wasn't even meant to be run on the x86 architecture to begin with. You will all die one day, but before you draw your last breath, you'll sit there and say to yourself, "Wow, I really wasted my life!"
It has the look and feel of spreadsheets I've seen in... oh, what's the name of that one computer thingy that everybody else in the world who wants to get things done uses... oh yeah, WINDOWS!!
I think the Gnome project ought to turn its attention to doing something new and innovative and quit trying to clone Windows in Lunix. Why is all of this effort being wasted on copying something that was already done???
And what is up with Mono??? Gawd, don't you Gnome guys have anything better to do than waste your time duplicating Microsoft's work in what will result as a weak and crappy imitation of the real thing? Why don't you just use Windows?? Then, you could quit worrying about copying it and actually use it to develop something. You might find that you could use the extra time to take a vacation.
Windows is great! I mean, look at everything that runs on it: Office, Quake, Doom, IE, VBScript, UltraEdit, jEdit, Visual Age for (fill in your language), Exchange, Outlook (and Outlook Express), Winzip, Photoshop etc. I could go on all day long. And if you want to grouse about paying for some of these wonderful utilities, I may remind you that you can obtain these from various warez sites.
Gnome and KDE: get on board with the winning team. Stop wasting time writing apps that somebody else has done. Start using and developing on a platform that the rest of the world uses....
While you're at it, get a login. Nothing is worse than an AC with an attitude and no login. Might I suggest you call yourself 'bigbawlbaby' or 'wahwahwannabe'.
I haven't been caught yet. And, it's not the cola I lust after, but the 300lb women in mu-mus riding those scooters around the store. You know what I mean. The ones that cause the benches placed throughtout the store to sag in the middle because of their crushing weight. Mmmmm... crushing weight...
