Lewis Carol, of course being a pen name for Charles Lutwidge Dodgson.
Chuck was, as you may know, a bit of a mathematician and published many works on the subject - usually text & guides.
In short, "a scientist who uses the word humongous" may not be as rare as you think:)

On the contrary - 1st person shooter gamers _may_ want athalons. Virtually anything else isn't really cpu limited. A half decent video card (mine's an oc'ed radeon LE) and a reasonable cpu (D850, can be had for ~ $80C) can play nearly anything. Doesn't even stutter in Dune:Emperor.
