"...easier than handing it to them directly..." ??? wtf, so it is easier to make a post and leave 100+ embassies open to the world or to send mails.. I suppose there are ethics here that I am missing.. saying he was supposedly doing these people a "favor" by publishing this..
of course microsoft tried to buy the vote.. business is war.. not a fan of MS, but it I don't think they did anything here that they have not done 100 times over everywhere else...
the new laptop has 2GB of ram.. just sitting there with firefox open and sidebar running it hovers between 30% and 50% I suppose that is background tasks.. I checked the site systemrequirementlab.com and there is not a game I can't run but I just wonder about this memory thing.. Usually spend all my time in Gentoo, but got an itch to play some of these new games coming out (Bioshock and world in conflict) so.. gotta do vista for those and in linux if you have 50% of your memory chewed with nothing running.. there is probably a problem.
vista really chews the memory up, I hope they fix that first off..
with all the problems people are having with upgrades, installs and everything else perhaps they should have waited a little longer. as with most things microsoft though, the computer comes pre-installed and nobody ever bothers changing anything (take IE for example and the fact that web developers in 2010 will STILL be writing sites to work-around two different browsers..
compound the problem with the fact that most of the albums are "Created" bands.. American Idol winners or some other such flavor of reality-music based on casting and music piped through filters to analyze it for "hit-ness".. yet.. people still gobble up the slop.. perhaps them wanting lower prices is the final end-result of the music industry trying to kill artist creativity and control the albums from initial casting to shelf.
And indy music is starting to gain serious traction.. I wonder why.
The music we are talking about here is the walmart mass-produced version of music that 98% of polled citizens will not find offensive..
first, as another poster says.. why not pay the kid to unlock it.. unless you don't want the car.. second, why didn't the kid hold out for more? third, I can have some hacked phones if these guys wanna get rid of any maxed-out alienware laptops???
we must have been in the same theater.. err.. though, the screaming need of yelling that during that moment was probably too strong for a LOT of people.
My personal favorite part was the giant cats that looked like they were being boarded by Furries that got lost from their convention (.. you know, those guys that dress up as animals and.. umm.. do stuff.. )
I liked the video game(s), and hell even Malcolm McDowell did a bit part in one, but.. man that was pretty bad.. like.. D&D2 bad, or.. porn based on video games bad.. or.. yea.. just bad..
uhhh... really? (am wondering if this is a joke).. you should check out the basically unanimous reviews see: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/wing_commander/ people really strained to find good things to say...
On RDJ just think: "less than zero" and then the long list of stints in rehab and on the covers of rags in grocery stores in cuffs.. yea, think he might do okay...
having flashbacks of "wing commander".. which is the result of what happens when a "game designer" decides to get into the business of making movies about his own stuff..
though, I guess that Marvel has enough money to make it 'look' exciting at any rate.
Still think they should leave the movie making to the pro's...
Not sure what is going on with you, but we are not having issues with our facebook app, actually one of our guys was invited to speak a facebook meetup here in the city. It sounds like they had concerns about your app being used as a/by a spam-harvester to abuse their network, and frankly I would be also cautious.
and you thought Maine was only for lobsters! of course Maine in front of the pack, all that seafood is good for the brain.. (of course the butter and chowders do slow you down a bit in other areas).
every time I see a windows machine just crawling, it is loaded with spyware in IE I have seen it way too many times.
in firefox you have extension makers who do things like rewriting amazon links, and a few others, but due to the nature of those they are fairly easy to disable.
not to mention, you can build a site with firefox on linux (which I use) or OSX (what the rest of the office uses) and it is great, then you test it on IE and find out that IE has some idiocy coded in to not be standards compliant and then you have code around it (the four or five year old z-index combo box bug is STILL around...)
we used those in our datacenter, just walk up and wave your wallet at the reader and it blinks and you are logged as going and the door opens, makes it pretty easy to see the comings and goings of all the employees and see who spends more time where.
Some places also use these for time clocks and apparently they work pretty well when placed by the front door.
just start some automated mass-whois-lookup's and drown out the real ones in the garbage..
that would solve the problem
they are probably doing a hail-mary to try and keep from being de-listed ;)
... oh' glorious day that will be..
hehehe.. I like the thought of them being de-listed

I guess at least he didn't try to blackmail them.

I doubt it will "drive" users to vista saying previous service packs managed to drive users to buy iMac's and then MacBooks.
someone say something about galaxy-alignment overlords!

just more reasons to use firefox..
IE7 is going to make a lot of scammers and malware guys happy
Skype is starting to charge now, so that means everyone will be migrating to the next thing that is free.
I sort of miss the dialpad.com days.
