A tethered blimp that can be winched back. And a pump to fill it with martian air (or deflate it in case of storm). And a heating element to give it buoyancy.
I completely disagree with you. If there were enough people with (rightfully so) suspended licences in the US they would work to improve the infrastructure. You know that there are cities in the US that you CANNOT cross on foot ? Yes, I've lived there.
Another country that has driving peculiarities is France where you can buy licence-less car (voitures sans permis). Small cars that you can drive without license, or with a suspended license. They legally top out to 60km/h but I've seen some beefed up to go 120km/h. When you seen one you KNOW it's driven either by a drunk or by a blind 90 year old. Fuck those people and the car they rode onto. Let them walk or bike.
Install Linux on your machine, browse with GhostScript, adblock plus, flshblock. Use it for everything except the very few tasks where you need Windows.
Then install Windows in a virtual machine. Take snapshots regularly. Don't use any AV. Don't browse the web with it.
Isn't EISA (or ISA) still used on CURRENT industrial embedded systems like PC104 ? I'll soon know, I've just been asked to work on some... In that case it's very good if a modern kernel can support it.
Yeah, but it is only because the cities are so drowned in noise from other cars. Once all cars are quiet, the problem will solve itself (you can still hear them enough when its quiet). But if you mandate noise on them, it'll never happen. A quiet city would be awesome, particularly if you've ever lived near a busy road.
Also I bike a lot and I can't believe the number of people who cross the road without even a glance. The sooner those people are out of the gene pool thanks to electric cars, the better.
I agree 100% with what you wrote, but not matter how you slice it, I fail to see how the cover of the latest Charlie Hebdo is in any way rude, mean or nasty. Some people are really thin skinned and should grow up.
Instead of defacing websites, they should find the list of porn sites that ISIS/Daesh/wahabite members visit and publish that. With full name and addresses of course. That'd be fun to watch.
But let me just remind you that it was the US that initiated a coup in Iran that unseated a democratically chosen head of state to install a US friendly dictator.
The US did a lot of dirty deeds in many places, for instance in central and south America. But you don't see Chileans or Nicaraguans or even Vietnamese going around with dynamite vests. Please explain why ?
It has its prophet, Marx. It has its bible, the little red book. It has its apostles, Lenin, Trotsky, etc. It has its saints/martyrs, Stakhanov and others. It requires faith. What else do you need in a religion ? Oh yes, It's damn stupid and it kills people who disagree.
I don't think it'd make good compost as pallet wood is heavily treated with chemicals to make it flame retardant and resistant to insects, molds and humidity. If you manage to burn some (with difficulty), it burns with weird colors and smells.
Also the fact that the DPRK is ready to put its cards down for a mere movie should be considered a good thing. This way we can be (somewhat more) ready against them for when the shit really hits the fans. It's not like they can repeat the same attack with as much success, and it's never guaranteed that you'll find another vector as successful.
I always wondered if Google and other huge outfits get prototype drives well ahead of the market. Those 20Tb drives have to be tested somewhere before they are introduced next year, right ?
I like the idea of building a gigantic monomolecular sheet at the L1 point of Venus to reflect/deflect part of the sunlight, letting Venus cool off. Below a certain temperature parts of its atmosphere start to condense, also dropping the air pressure by a significant amount. Possible terraforming in a much easier way than on Mars, hardly any high tech involved except for a sheet factory and tanks of raw material at L1.
There are plenty of tools or scripts that will rename your files according to the time the image was taken. Make sure you use some variation of YYYYMMDDHHMMSS as it's in lexicographic order when sorting. I wrote my own.
Exactly. Using the filesystem is the best and simplest method. I have images ranging 150 years and 10 Tb using this method and I can find things in a few seconds, either with the find command or by zeroing on the date. Fo old scans that aren't dated precisely you can simply use 'YYYY-event" or 'YYYYMM-event'. And it works on any OS and any media (CD, HD...) so you KNOW it'll still work when your granchildren will want to sift through your images.
Since you mention it I'd like to ask a question about the pictures in the movie. I saw the movie several times but could never figure out what is seen on the picture is actually zooms on, the one with the room and (?) mirror. I'm sure it's on some FAQ somewhere but never dug into that.
That. In most European countries there's no such thing as robocalls. They get their line disconnected fast.
Most of them are probably invisible. Good luck finding them. Or placed at the top of high poles/3D towers. Good luck reaching them.
As if the price of medications depended on the techniques used to produce them... Ha, you must be new here.

Yeah, those drivers remind me of little kids who go 'Wrooom wroom !' in their pedal cars... While adults secretely hope 'he'll grow out of it'...

Marxism is not a religion in any way
It has its prophet, Marx. It has its bible, the little red book. It has its apostles, Lenin, Trotsky, etc. It has its saints/martyrs, Stakhanov and others. It requires faith. What else do you need in a religion ? Oh yes, It's damn stupid and it kills people who disagree.
That was long ago. What about NOW ?
Yeah, and a free subscription to Brazzers on it for the middle east too.

If they had been monitoring all their drug and other illegal activities... why haven't they arrested them long ago ?

Survive an Earth asteroid strike for one.
Yeah and then what ? It's not like you can find raw material to rebuild civilization when you are suspended 20km up in the air...
