It is a good scapegoat for people who never learned how to interact socially with other people.
Wishing for Asperger's is as dumb as wishing for color blindness or hemophilia.
If you wish for that, what you probably have is Munchausen syndrome. Please go see a doctor and don't rely on self-diagnosys or what some random person of the Internet told you (myself included).
As much as I hate what's become of the title "hacker," I still love it when I'm walking down the street wearing my "hacker." t-shirt from ThinkGeek. On sidewalks, I'm given a wide berth.
Can the president issue a "blank check" kind of pardon. Those of you who have read Tom Clancy's latest novel, "The Teeth of the Tiger" know what I'm talking about. President Ryan issued about 100 signed pardons with no names and dates to be used by operatives conducting illegal ops to protect their countries.
Can Congress or the Supreme Court overturn a presidential pardon or sentence conmutation?
I'm not in IT (anymore) so I didn't know that Notes/Exchange support IMAP and POP, so the claim of no Notes/Exchange support is a bit of a red herring.
Actually, more than IMAP and POP they are probably concerned with the groupware (calendaring and the like) features of Exchange and Notes. Blackberry does IMAP and POP fine with any server, but for anything beyond that you need a dedicated server that only interfaces with Exchange, Notes and Groupwise (I think). How will iPhone deal with this has not been said.
It might ignore this issue entirely and let someone else develop the software with a web interface for the iphone to access, maybe.
MI4 could have been good, but the models where too much like string puppets and the fourth wall breaking jokes didn't help at all. And I didn't get the aussie bashing jokes.
so if the idiot gestapo take my computers for a look, I can continue to work until they read up on how these internet 'tubes' thingies work
I don't mean to censure or discourage your practice of keeping an open AP, but it seems to me that they can do more than simply take your computers away.
They could file charges, take you in custody, leak your name to the press, harass you for the names or your "accomplices", etc. Dealing with law enforcement can be a real bother sometimes (I guess it depends on the jurisdiction where you are located).
I don't understand your reasoning at all. From my own experience, Windows clipboards are behind in several ways. Support for drag and drop operations is way behind OS X
I believe it's my writing you didn't understand. Notice how in my post I started by acknowledging that I didn't have that much experience in other desktop OS, but in my own personal experience I have not found a clipboard implementation better than Windows. I even said I haven't used a Mac. At least not since the Mac SE.
Well, yes. Clipboard's keybindings can be annoying tho I reckon the vast majority of users don't have a problem with them (never having to deal with terminal programs or raw files).
I haven't used many operating systems (only Windows and several unix based OS) and I've never used a Mac, but as far as I have seen, Windows' clipboard functions are second to none.
What do you mean? Is that a bad keystroke to assign to "copy"? IMHO Windows' clipboard is one of its best features. I can copy/paste with confidence distinct types of data between programs and it still hasn't given me an unexpected result.
He is a KING. A KING. He should be able to deal with (oh horror) FEET!. I am aware of the cultural implications (I am friends with a few people from Thailand), but I expect people to be able to get over jackasses giving them the finger. I expect more of a guy who is a king.
I'm thinking that it's not the King who wants to sue, but some officials who feel insulted or wants to ingratiate themselves or whatever. Remember that Thailand is under military rule and the monarch is just the "head of state".
In fact, it was the king who pardoned the swiss man who defaced his portrait. For all we know the king doesn't give a hoot about this issue but it's not in his power to change the law or to keep people from trying to enforce it.
In any case, I don't think this will amount to anything. I think they just want their displeasure to be heard but they are fully aware that a lawsuit of this kind will not do a thing.
How long before some company tries to cover up the embarrassment by suing the people who disclose the fact that they have machines infected with bots? They might not succeed, but they might make life unpleasant for a short while for those who post the info.
If enough people complain, they will take action. The "legitimate" ISPs at least (as opposed to the "bulletproof" ISP).
Include the ip address / spamvertized URL on the subject. Makes it easier for the poor lackey they have tasked with reading the abuse mail and opening tickets/reports/whatever.
Or use a service like spamcop or mynetwatchman (for portscanning attacks). Usually, the postmaster and abuse accounts are not filtered in any way so they get a HUGE amount of spam and it easy for an email complaint from a random address to slip by unnoticed. But mail from predictable sources can be classified easily and acted upon.
Such as? What necessary piece of functionality does IE have that Mozilla (or Opera, or others) don't have?
Backdoor exploits into your OS? Ha! Try doing *that* on Firefox or Opera.
Seriously, I'm guessing that's simply an unwillingness to code for more than one browser, either because of laziness or lack of resources or they don't care about the growing market share or firefox.
I don't know if that site is good enough to make people open an IE window or tab just to visit it, so I don't know if their arrogance (if that's what it is) is justified.
Thanks for your interest in Movielink, the leading movie download service. Sorry, but Movielink is presently unavailable to users outside of the United States.
The problem is, they are not the only ones who get it.
The poor schmucks with an email who receive the spam are the ones who get it, as well as the poor schmucks who administer an e-mail system that now has to contend with the extra load.
Sorry, I didn't mean to dis-believe you:-) I just did a quick Google search and looks like you are right. I don't know much about NAT traversal, but from what I've read, Wii and DS use STUN (or a variant thereof) opening several sequential UDP ports in order to use the state maintained by the firewalls/NAT devices. I guess WFC is only used to negotiate this, then.
There are several forums with people complaining that their universities are blocking this somehow.
Can anybody with more "inside" knowledge of how Nintendo's wifi works shed more light on this?

Are you sure it's not just B.O.?
because some wit forgot to make the fields tab-able
Or made them tab-able but not following a logical order (such as the order the fields are on the screen)
Can the president pardon himself?

and for a Mario game the story is pretty grim and complex
I hear ya. For a game that is almost a platformer, the story is rather involving. I will say no more lest I give out any spoilers.
MI4 could have been good, but the models where too much like string puppets and the fourth wall breaking jokes didn't help at all. And I didn't get the aussie bashing jokes.

a defective clipboard model (crtl-C!?)

The filename/type thing *is* a screwup, I agree.
Maybe they didn't retain the rights. Wasteland was published by Electronics Arts (Fallout by themselves thru Black Isle).
which file is the right one in the suppository
Was it that much of a pain in the ass? Paging Dr. Freud...
I think the least we can do for the defendants in this case is provide them with a judge who is LIVR
= livr&Find=find&string=exact
Low Input Voltage Regulator?
Meh, not everyone reads Douglas Adams. They should, tho.

Heck yeah! Passwordsafe is a godsend. I run it off a truecrypt volume in an USB drive. That way I just need to remember two passwords.

You kinda missed the AC's point (not that I agree with it). They are working on "projects" but not delivering a "product".
How long before some company tries to cover up the embarrassment by suing the people who disclose the fact that they have machines infected with bots? They might not succeed, but they might make life unpleasant for a short while for those who post the info.
By all means, send your complaint.

Just because it's true doesn't mean it's not funny.
Mouse/keyboard FTW!

I guess I'll never know.
Meh, and you wonder why some of the old people want the Soviet Union back.
It might bring some good Tom Clancy novels.
The problem is, they are not the only ones who get it.

Actually, they are not opposing views. Greasemonkey allows for third party scripts to be executed alongside the web page's own.
He wants you to execute his scripts when you visit his page. All other scripts can go take a leap.
NoScript is a godsend in my opinion. It is no hassle at all to whitelist the sites I want to see scripts from.
